Does anyone know where to source ground corn cob for my vibratory cleaner? I'm almost out of the Lyman stuff Ive been using and I dont want to pay $25+ for 5 liters of it.

I hear people buying feed bag sized quantities for $8-10. I can buy a bottle of additive for less than $20 which would probably treat the whole bag...

Why not crushed walnut? It's reptile bedding, sold at most pet stores. Costs nothing and while it won't clean like corn cob, you can just leave the brass in longer to get them clean

for a year now i use only reptile walnut bedding, it cut my tumbling time by 2 and with a drop of mineral spirit my brass look brand new after a hours, I tumble 60 to 100 cases every week and i still fill my tumbler once the stuff still good after a full year of use

I just got a mini 5 gallon pail (home depot) filled at rouge River arms which worked out to 10lbs for $20. They have corn and walnut media.

I never thought of princess auto. The pet shops have never heard of corn cob, and I have never used walnut. Are there any special tricks or tips for using walnut? Do I need to add anything?

A little NuFinish car polish(not wax), blended in the media before adding brass(15 min.), and a used Bounce sheet cut into strips to cut down on the dust.

Leave the 'nut & 'cob behind...
Come... Come to the bright side and go wet stainless...
Drink the delicious Kool Ade that is wet tumbling...
