Caught a Tavor Fever... "Official Tavor Picture Thread"

I picked up my latest Tavor and RPM Precision fore-end last week, and added a Manticore curved buttpad and BCM VG-KM-Mod 3 this week. I'd previously expressed skepticism about the usefulness of the Manticore buttpad but I was really surprised at how much more comfortable it is, and how the slightly shorter LOP makes a surprising difference. As a guy that started Service Rifle shooting back in the 1980s with AR15A2s I'm not used to vertical grips but in the few hours I've had the stubby BCM one mounted I quite like it—it's quite narrow side-to-side but it feels quite natural, and the subtle angling of the grip—which sort of mimics the angle of the pistol grip—is surprisingly comfortable. Next stop—the range!

That is an amazing looking rig!

OT: How do you like your Kel Tec? I will be interested to hear your opinion on how the two stack up!

I love my RFB, used it for hunting, about 1.5 Moa with handloads, about 2-3 moa with factory, I found the Tavor to be about the same, both as reliable as a wood stove. I had problems with surplus mags in the RFB, they saw the heal of my boot, problem solved. I only use new factory mags now.

•Steiner DBAL-I2

The round count is well north of 2500 and I haven't had an issue since I threw away the POS magazine that came with it.

I had to modify the Fenix a bit for it to sit tight in the TMF, but a couple wraps of electrical tape was all that was needed. I found a piece of mylar heat shield on the job one day and I ended up trimming it and installing it between the barrel and the Fenix.

To be honest, my install of the pressure pad felt a bit "Bubba" as I couldn't source the appropriate hardware and was forced to employ zip-ties and heat shrink... but then some real deal, genuine "high speed/low drag" EPS friends of mine put it through it paces and told me that I had nothing to worry about.

The manual of arms was the hardest part of adjusting to this platform, but after 2500+ rounds, it's second nature to me now.

This is such a rugged, accurate and FUN rifle to shoot that it is always sitting in the back of whatever I'm driving in its tan Pelican 1700 case.

@ 50m... I dunno about you, but I'm happy with that kind of printing...

I mainly run PMAGS, but have an eclectic collection of mags that feed my Federal 55gr FMJ all day long with zero hiccups. Once again, I may add - the magazine that came with it was absolute garbage. It would have been better to come without a magazine rather than have that piece of crap thrown in.

I will continue to advocate to my friends and anyone in earshot concerning the pleasantries of this rifle... once the rather steep entry level price has been breached, of course.

Thanks for stopping and checking my rifle out... as always; I look forward to feedback and suggestions for wringing the absolute most that I can get out of this platform.
