I dropped by Tenda to check out the new Shadow 2 first hand!

Just thought I would share my first impressions here. I know that I have been dying to get my hands on one, and I have been really curious as to how it felt. After holding it, and dry firing it, I am happy to say that I do not regret that I pre-ordered a Shadow 2. It fits my hand like a glove - even better than the Shadow 1. I know a bunch of people have held them now too, if you have, I am curious: What do you think about the new Shadow 2?

Anyways, here's my .02: Its got a nice big mag release on it, the hammer is easier to #### too, and the other controls are on par with the shadow 1. The feel of the pistol is solid - it feels like a full metal pistol. The slide has some great serrations making it very grippy as is the rest of the pistol with the pronounced grip texture of the stippling. The grip profile is a little different as the beavertail and grip placement seems a bit higher overall allowing for my small hands to get a nice high choked up grip. Balance is awesome, points naturally. The sights are on par with previous ones (front red fibre optic - looks like 1mm) and I noticed the extra sight radius and I like it. The trigger is really sweet on the one I tried, nice clean break, short crisp reset. I would say overall, it looks like this is a significant upgrade over the shadow 1 and I bet this is going to be a very popular pistol. Added bonus: Shadow 1 mags fit.

Here is a pic:

That extended magazine in the earlier pictures is not included with these pistols for sale in canada.

I'm curious as to the take-up on the trigger in DA. My Shadowline had an eternity untill the break. I hope this trigger isn't as bad as the Shadowline's.

The triggers are much much better in the 2s but DA by necessity is long compared to SA.

can't help but notice the little rubber piece at the end of the recoil spring. is this part of the recoil assembly or a part that needs to be replaced every certain amount of rounds?

I find shockbuffs last between 5000-7000 rounds lately. But that's in my old Shadows. I can't give you any numbers on the 2, could be more could be less (probably less due to heavier slide)

I've been looking at new 9s to add to the collection, and the Shadow 2 is at the top of the list, but it seems I'm going to have to wait a while.

If you're going to shoot the 2 a lot you will get this quickly. And my hands were used to aggressive grip tape. This is from the match this weekend in Cachtice, Slovakia and training with the CZ team today.

"lighten it up"? I was looking for the spring to lessen the take-up in DA.

Maybe it's the hammer spring (?). Does anyone know where to get one for the Shadow 2?
