Yes I know this won't ever be legal in Canada.

But it's still a fun video to watch, if you're into black rifles.

an old mod of a thing called the "hellfire crank " amongst other things- it was FORBIDDEN when they wrote up c-68- that's how old that is

Thank G0sh the Liberals are protecting us from this:

Coooooool!!! Want!

So, was going to ask why 'prohibited' (other than because it looks like fun & we couldn't possibly be permitted that [sad sarcasm off]). Rather, for any other inquiring minds, this is what I found on the google...

"PART 4
Prohibited Devices

Former Prohibited Weapons Order, No. 9

1 Any electrical or mechanical device that is designed or adapted to operate the trigger mechanism of a semi-automatic firearm for the purpose of causing the firearm to discharge cartridges in rapid succession." (Bolding of text is mine)

May I say that this thread and it's content is the LAST thing you should discuss at this time. Shake your heads.

Calm your tits, it's not like people who hate us can't just google this stuff, and it's prohibited already, AND it's legal elsewhere why can't we discuss it? The things discussed here have been discussed before and are as old as dirt. They're already prohibited! They already know!

I bet you don't have a hissy fit when people talk about legal full autos or even semi auto ak47s just as prohibited and just as legal elsewhere.

As they are debating banning this gun. Thanks. :jerkit:

Trigger cranks have been around for decades. There were a number of them specifically made for a "Rimfire that recently got it's mags nerfed but will remain nameless" that were available (legally in Canada) in the 80s.

They're going after all semi-autos. The ones you can strap a trigger crank to, the ones you can bump-fire, the ones that work with "the shoelace trick", all of them. Thinking otherwise is delusional.

Our only recourse is to make noise, to point out that all this has been around for decades, and that it has never, ever, been used in a crime or been a verifiable public safety concern.

Not that I expect logic and reason to help, but it's the only defence we've got.

Woo! Shoe lace thing?? Don't know that one ! But purely for educational poses, please elaborate !
So I googled it works on m14/ mini 14 and may be garands not much use other than for sh%%% and giggles . Kinda of a bump fire but with a string . ATF have ruled it a full auto device ( string ) when installed . So now I know !

IBTL is this not a discussion about illegal activity?

No. The device is completely legal in the location where it's being used.

I stated quite clearly in the very first post that this would never be used in Canada.

Just another case of CGNers being so smart and knowledgeable that they undo us. It might be techically wrong, but our enemies can add this to their easily converted conversation. But you're smart.

Very good points made Greimar and I've been around long enough to have owned a similar device that was sold as an 'Activator' locally here in BC (mid/late 80's).

The 'Activator' much like the device in this video would allow a .22LR 10/22 rifle to shoot four shots per one revolution cycle of the winder handle (which was simple secured into the trigger guard for a very easy installation).

Unfortunately as has ben stated here these items became prohib many, many moons ago.

Cheers D
