Seems somebody has not held one of the newer Key mod light barreled ones. To date the lightest factory NR black rifle I have held.

You bought in at the right time then. I got mine just before the keymods came out with the heavey barrel. Thing was an anchor, so I sold it for my Mk18.
This is the exact one I'd be intrested in.

According to the B&T website the 12" barrel version weighs 3.8 kg, which according to google translates to 8.3 or something lbs. Nearly a full lb more than an XCR..

The weight for the match version of the apc(shorter barrel than the nr barrel we're getting)is 9 lbs. So we're looking at swiss arms weight here.

I'm in if it proves itself to shoot better than the xcr, tavor, acr, modern varminter. I'd wait for some reviews first. The weight does worry me.

The APC 9 above has 16.5 inch barrel (model BT-36004 - Sporting Carbine). Just 2 inches shorter than a hypothetical non-restricted version. I actually like the look of it. A non-restricted option would be great. It would be even better if it was possible to make it's handguard a bit longer (like 3 inches longer).
Answering Mr. Wolverine's question:
I am definitely interested in one of these toys. But cannot tell for sure which one I want first (yet).
APC9 feels a bit more extraordinary. But I might consider a non-restricted APC223 if it arrives earlier.
I did some estimates and can tell, that I cannot justify APC300 - .300 BLK ammo is still too expensive.
It would be approachable if APC platform allowed quick barrel/caliber change, but it looks like it doesn't
(actually, it would be great to clarify this).
In order to make a qualified decision, it would be great to know a bit more details:
1. Weight of the non-restricted APC 223 version.
2. It's accuracy.
3. Does it come with longer or shorter handguard?
4. Are iron sights included in the price?
By the way, does it come with the native B&T forward grip (like APC9 above), or the IMI one (shown in the earlier APC 223 photos)?
I suspect many people would prefer the native B&T grip for stylistic consistency.
