RANT......Hey Westerners what the hell is a ky-ute?????

I'm guessing this thread is mostly for fun, I agree with Hoyt( you forgot P.E.I:).
I consider myself a newf, but I've lived all across Canada.
Spent 6 yrs partying at Jane&Finch, it was awesome.
My two most favourite places ,and the only two I would want to call home, are , where I'm at now.
If I couldn't be here, Wainwright Alberta would be my next.
You only think you've heard some slang, come down here and hit up a party , in one of the small baymen towns.
I have a hard time understanding them, until I'm half in the bag:)

Peace out everybody...

As for the East vs West thing... grow up.

BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, NL (and the others), share a proportionate number of slobs, dickheads, azzholes, and also top notch outdoorsmen... we are all Canadian... and as it is in all of our best interest to protect our hunting/firearms heritage, I'd suggest that we cultivate unity and not division... highlight our similarities not our differences.

But there are a lot of us, particularly in the West, that don't want to be Canadian. We've been shat on too long. So when someone out east starts a thread like this.... yer gonna hear from us.

The best thing in the East right now is Trudeau. Every day he's in power you hear more and more people being alright with leaving. I may get to see it in my lifetime.

As for the OP, it's a yote. Soon to be a free Western yote with no eastern yoke on it.

Last I looked, we were in the hunting section, not the politics section.......

Hoyt is right, all provinces have their winners and losers....... most people that don't acknowledge this haven't spent much time outside of their own province.....

i'm with trump but in w can way- throw up a wall east of winterpeg.
if you knew how many times I've been "set back" b/c of "consolidation" after 4 or more years, you'd have a HATRED for all things east too- esp when they hire a half dozen more technicians in Montreal- so walk a mile or 2 in my shoes before you call me western radical

Nobody says that.

Everyone from Ontario talks that way. At least all the Ontario ppl I've ever met.

It's funny when I'm talking with someone and I ask what part of Ontario they're from, they seem very surprised and ask how I knew they were from Ontario. When I tell them their accent gave them away, they usually get indignant and say "I don't have an accent". Apparently they can't hear it.

If you don't want to be Canadian, then leave. Pretty simple. The only province that had a shred of hope at separating was Quebec. That didn't work well for them. The rest of the country will not let you leave. As far as hating ontario, and Toronto in particular; these places are the engines that drive the Canadian economy. I don't particularly care for T.O. either, but it is a necessary evil.

As for the lack beauty in Ontario, you've clearly never spent anytime in Algoma country, or any where along lake superior. You should see it sometime. Mountains aren't the only beautiful part of the CANADIAN landscape.

And it's Ky-oat-ee. But I usually call em Yoats. And if they don't stay off my property, I refer to them as "dead dogs"!

I live in Ontario... and nobody talks like that... there are regional dialects in many places... but NOBODY that I know here says "aboot."

Nope I didn't forget PEI... just specifically named the provinces that I have hunted and fished in, and then tagged on (and the others)... I have golfed in PEI though, and enjoyed it immensely.

Hey don't worry a-boot it man! I have no doot you can't hear it being from there, you've become accustomed to it.:p

I spend a lot of time in Montana. I don't think I sound any different from them but they can always pick me out as being from Saskatchewan. They say I have that western Canadian drawl, whatever that is.

I don't trust PEI. I mean, there's no naturally occurring rock. You know what that makes PEI? A sandbar! Yeah. One bad Nor'easter and that bridge will end in a 20 foot drop into the water. No sir...not for me.
