Okay........Now with Pics of Loading Bench and Gun Vault

Muscle have a tendency to run circles in clouds. Needed to get "rid" of some tires on my 71 one time. I believe in the last picture you could only pick out a light reflection in the front bumper. Took 5 minutes to clear the smoke and an hour to clean the rubber off the quarter panels... Good times.

I see everything a well supplied "projects room" could want.... welders, grinders, a lathe , a small drill press....but no Bridgeport or similar Knee Mill...

I'm sure the new "loading room" is just as outstanding as what you've showed us so far, might we be treated to a picture of it.

The new toy box looks bare in comparison to the Whitehorse one, good to see you have room for more acquisitions. Nice to see the mounts now have a proper home. Next time I am on my way to Campbell River we'll take the southern route and stop by and take you up on the clean sheets and single malt.

Johnn...The black rag top on the lift is a 69, completely "frame off" restored with an LT 1 350 Hp 350 ci engine and factory Muncie 4 speed. Don't have any more photos handy sorry. There is also a 75 that you can just see the rear quarter in one photo, I built and installed a fuel injected L 88 427 in that one as well. I also did a ZL 1 fender flare package and an L 88 hood, it has been painted gun metal metallic grey and has a complete new black leather interior. It's a glass top T roof, 'cause if you remember back in the mid 70s they banned rag tops. It is also a factory 4 speed.

So now F284, you want photos of my loading area? I don't truly have a loading room, but have been graciously allowed to inhabit a piece of the downstairs guest room, by the wife. I out grew my gun vault and didn't have enough room for my guns and my loading set up, so I built new benches and moved the loading set up into the adjacent guest room. I'm going to have to do some serious clean up before I dare to take any photos of it, or inside my gun vault............

I certainly hope so, Pete !!!

There seems to be something about guns, fast cars, airplanes and guys.........I have noticed on this forum that a disproportionate number of guys are also pilots and/or aircraft owners............HHHMMMMMMMM.......I know, it's all about speed !!!!

Thanks Douglas. That body style of the Vette rag top has to be my favorite. If you do end up taking more photos of it, please post them or send them along.

Yep Johnn, that's the C3 "shark" phase of the Corvette......started in 68 and ran through to the 80s. Only the 68-72 had the big block and flipped up tail, though. I like the little C2s as well and would love to have a 63 split window. I also really liked my C6 Z06 styling as well, didn't care for the oval tail lights on the C5s.........

In reality, there's not many Vettes I don't like the look of but that body style of your '69 is the highlight for me. I was a little disappointed when they started sloping the back end top of the trunk line forward.

That set-up is the stuff dreams are made of! Thanks for sharing c-fbmi.
When I saw the pics of the man cave I visualized a vegan anti-hunter being blindfolded and unknowingly led inside. Remove the blindfold and offer the vegan a piece of bison jerky and watch all hell break loose!
I admit it's a twisted dream for sure but it made me chuckle just a little and those pics of yours made it possible!

What do you do for a living, I'm going to change careers haha

I moved to a region that was very low on young tradesmen and started my own electrical business, then I started another business in hydraulics, filters, submersible pumps and water handling and then I bought out my competition in the hydraulic and water handling industry..................mostly though I just worked my bag off...........16 hours a day 7 days a week for 20 or so years..........

Would probably go somethink like this:

The working off of the bag seems to be the key to the successful business owners I've known over the years. most people don't have the sand to do what you guys do.

That's very impressive! I started my own residential construction business 5 years ago at 22. So I know the feeling.. I have been planning on expanding to a second crew but good reliable workers are hard to find here!

Well elker, I am not sure what will be the cause of my demise...........but it sure as hell won't be boredom. I am slowing the pace a bit now, usually only put in 6-8 hrs a day 7 days a week and doing what "I" want to do, when "I" want to do it.

HCh......those problems are North America wide apparently........the single greatest detriment to my not doing considerably better than what I did, was a lack of qualified and reliable employees...........Which has a lot to do with the 16 hr days 7 days a week, I put in !!!! There wasn't (hell isn't today) a single aspect of my businesses that I personally could not do........and usually better than those experts I hired. Let me tell you if I could have found a core of 10 guys that knew what I knew and worked even 1/2 as hard as me (you know, like an honest 8 hrs a day) I would have my own helicopter and yacht, parked at my second home on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, and my trophy room would be twice as large and twice as full, as would my toy box...........All I have now is my airplane and snow machine parked at my second home in the frozen f***ing arctic !!!!!

Don't take that the wrong way, by the way, I did very well and enjoyed the time I had for myself. I also used my disposable income to the best of it's use, doing the things I loved doing, which has a lot to do with what I have now. I don't have a bulging bank account, but by God I have lived the life I pretty much wanted, with few regrets, and done most of my bucket list before I was 40. I have revised it several times and still have done almost everything on it. The super hard physical hunts are behind me though, truth be told, and I did not get all the Argalis I would have liked, or a Markhor, or Dagestani Tur, or a Russian Blue sheep or snow sheep and at this juncture in my life it's not likely going to happen. I still have hopes of a bighorn and a desert on my wall yet..........but we'll see.
