What are your opinions on the 10" Rocky waterproof insulated hunting boots?

Made in China, relatively cheap, would not stand up to hard use. If you're wearing them for a few days a year probably do the trick but other than that you'll be replacing them much sooner than with some other offerings.
 
I would pass and buy a better boot.

More then one guy at my camp have only got three or four hunting seasons (wearing them only two weeks a year so 6-8 weeks total) out of theirs before they fell apart.
 
First pair of Rocky's awesome !
Second pair leaked awful. We're replaced after a hassle .
And the replacement paid are the worst leaky cold sh#$y boots I've ever owned.
Buy something else. They are absolute crap.
 
I got a pair of Rocky "scentlock" rubber boots. Came highly recomended.
They cracked first year, took 'em back, they replaced them free, but then they cracked the first year also.

IMO Rocky boots, while they may have been good in the past, are now CRAP.
 
I had a pair of Rocky Boots and won't buy again...spend a little extra money and go with the Irish Setter..Danner or similar...

Problems were similar to the ones already mentioned...
 
My wife bought them at Sail an hour before I could tell her to stop. They are not returnable as they were on sale. 50% off for a total of $90.00. They appear to be sturdy. I can't see any major flaws with the stitching ect.... I will break them in and try them out for the controlled hunt in December. The good thing is the 1 year warranty. And 90 bucks is not a big loss if they turn out to be bad. Thanks to everyone for their opinions.
 
They're complete and utter junk. At the least the ones I bought were. Got 2 seasons out of them. First morning of season 3, a walk in a grassy field at daybreak saw them absorb a ridiculous amount of moisture and pretty much end that day's hunt. Honestly, I don't think wrapping my feet in sponges could possibly have been any worse.

Now I alternate between a pair of Meindl boots for general use and a pair of ankle-fitted insulated rubber boots when I'm expecting to be dealing with muskeg or mucky conditions.
 
First hunting boots were Rocky's. One day of heavy rain and my feet were soaked. Returned them and bought a pair of Irish setter elk trackers. Those boots are goretex water proof and have held up to 5 years of hunting in the Mountains around Pemberton BC. For a little extra cash you get a lot more boot with Irish setter
 
My old Rocky Goretex boots are/were awesome. They were as waterproof as rubber boots for a decade.

I helped a heifer with a calf in a monsoon one year and was soaked to the skin, except inside my boots.

Last fall I walked into the lake to launch the boat and found out 1 had failed...

I think that Rocky built their name with quality goods and then let their product go to shyte in the name of profit...or so it sounds.
 
I wore mine yesterday in blizzard conditions, and lots of wet ground. The boots held up fine. My feet were warm and dry. I am out in the same conditions today. I am cautiously optimistic, that I got a good pair.
 
Interesting..... I suspect mine may be the exception to the rule. Just having lunch and a tea. Lots of cold, wet conditions today. The boots are holding up well.
