belt pouch for my compass

hi
my last hunt i lost my compass and i search for a pouch to put my compass in my hunting belt

anyone can help me or have some idea to attach my compass to my belt

I keep one in my pocket and another on a string around my neck. I buy compasses every time I see them at yard sales, good ones even Silvas for just a buck or 2, and keep spares in the car. I don't think I ever lost one in the bush so I have quite a few. Since I locked my keys in the Jeep last year out in the bush moose hunting, I now have a spare car key on the string around my neck along with my backup compass.
 
I made a pouch out of paracord for my compass. Lots of plans online and then you have spare paracord handy just in case. ...but may not be the most secure option if you are prone to losing them.
 
I once had a snow storm roll in while I was out in the bush with no compass and a ####ty cell phone with no service. Got turned around and couldn't tell where the sun was. One of the stupidest things I ever did. Got lucky guessing by wind direction. Came out on the road 7km from my car. ...I would have hit a river if I went the wrong way, but it would have been a way way way longer detour. ...compass is a must have.

When I was flying in the bush the firm gave me two Silva Rangers, telling me to always carry one and leave the other in the a/c.
All navigation in the bush, air or ground, was by magnetic compass.

You cant beat a Silva Ranger. That's what I carry when hunting.
 
Getting back to the OP's original question, Silva makes a padded compass case with a loop to put on your belt. Look here.

All depends on what you're doing with it. If im pushing out a conifer swamp during a deer drive, a compass is far easier and quicker (and lighter to carry) then a GPS for determining something as simple as figuring out which direction im going in or where I want to be going.

I use GPS daily for my job, but my compass still has a place in my personal life.
 
I prefer it around my neck which is what Geologist was saying. My wife bought me a Silva Prospector years ago and they come with a lanyard already attached. Handy to use and tuck it away in the tough going.

I was in the same quandary and found this maxpedition belt pouch. It holds my compass and a small survival kit securely on my belt. I also keep my hunting license in there. That ensures I always take it with.
 
I carry a Silva Ranger either on cord around my neck or most often the cord is looped through the button hole in my right shirt pocket with the compass in the pocket. Been doing this since 1970 and haven't lost the compass. Also carry Silva huntsman in my right coat pocket with a wad of Kleenex on top of it , never lost it either. I have a belt pouch for my Silva ranger, used it once, it was a pain in the a$$ taking it in and out of the pouch. That's when it went in the top right shirt pocket with the cord looped through the button hole, its handy and easily accessible.
