My apologies if this is a repost or in the wrong place,

It appears that Canadian Tire subsidiaries Sport Chek and Atmosphere which were purchased by Can Tire in 2011 as part of the Forzani Group have chosen to no longer sell products containing animal fur.
They have acquiesced to the demands of APFBA and their ilk. The animal rights crusaders are currently basking in glory and suggesting their supporters inform Can Tire of their pleasure.
I humbly suggest considering informing Can Tire of how you feel about this decision.

The animal rights crusaders are well funded and motivated, they are considering this a major victory and will only be bolstered by this decision.
Logic and common sense has little to do with it, they are ideologues and their ultimate goal is an end to trapping and hunting. Many of them feel catching a fish on a hook is cruel and unacceptable.

What bothers me is that Canadian Tire as a parent company would agree to these lobbying demands.
It is entirely unacceptable to me, and if left unchecked will only further threaten the livelihoods of many of my fellow Canadians.
Please consider contacting Canadian Tire and expressing your opinion on this matter. There still may be time to encourage them to reverse this decision.

Trudeau is too stunned to realize everything he does is a contradiction to common sense.........Harold

Saw a PETA protesting the seal hunt a few years ago. I looked at her feet and she had leather boots on. I asked if they were real leather and she said yes. I told animals died to make those and she said she didn't know leather came from animals.

Wool and Leather come from animals? Oh my I am Shocked!

Wonder if PETA ever considers than many animals harvested for pelts, leather hides, wool, milk etc would not exist except that they are farmed for their stuffs and thus are alive because of it. Otherwise they never would have been bred.
It's the same with people. Economic/industrial zones are built, residential areas arise around them and the government farms us for wealth and resources

That's funny, my local Cantire has various pelts and mounts around their hunting section. Everything from yote, bear, raccoon. Wonder if they'll take them down. My daughter's favorite part of our mandatory strolls to the ammo rack.

Hes talking about Sportchek, which is owned by Canadian Tire.

This may extend to Marks as well. Do they have anything with fur on it?

I was just in marks all the fur was fake too
The hole thing is a scam to separate money from the suckers
The best counter measure is go buy you wife or girlfriend sum fur

Some folks are amazingly ignorant as to where products come from. I had a friend years back who had an old bull ground into hamburger and he was taking orders from folks at work. One lady ordered some then cancelled when she found out it came from a bull. My friend assured her it was safe to eat as the bull was taken to a local slaughter house and professionally butchered, and there was nothing wrong with the bull except it was old and past his breeding prime. She said she did not want it because real hamburger did not come from dead animals, it came from the IGA. She believed all hamburger came in packages on Styrofoam trays which is all made at the IGA. True story, this women was 100% serious.

Wool is from an animal that does not get killed to produce the product so i cant see that getting the cut(although some would like it too) And there is so little real fur sold at these stores really any big stores I dont see an impact other then there "Win" is a boost to them. If you want quality real fur product find a local that makes what your looking for and support them. It may cost more but you know the quality and you feed a local family .

Fake fur is made from coal and petroleum, which causes Global Warming, which will cause agonizing death for every animal on Earth over the next unspecified period of time.
Canadian Tire is clearly pro-Trump, and is probably going to call its customers apes in heels any day now, on the technical pretext that humans are apes, and many people wear shoes in winter. Sickening.
