I finally invested in a new trigger, a Triggertech TT-15. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

So I've been shooting ARs for about 15 years, both for fun and profit, and before today I'd never pulled an after-market trigger.

I'VE LIVED A LIE FOR 15 YEARS.

The nice mail carrier brought me my brand new Triggertech TT15 straight lever adjustable trigger today, and I dropped it into my Stag 2T as soon as I got home.

Drop in triggers. BEAUTIFUL. Installation took about 10 minutes, and went perfectly. Next came the function test.

I cannot express how amazing this trigger feels. The first time I pulled it, I started hopping around and giggling like a 12 year old girl.

Zero effort first stage, to a perfect, immovable wall. Squeeze, no movement. Continue squeezing, SNAP! the proverbial glass rod. This rifle does not feel like it's mine. I bought a new trigger, and got a new gun.

####, and release the trigger a tiny bit, and get a very nice, if a bit quiet, tactile reset. I'm used to the CLUNK of a military sear, so this will take some getting used to.

TT15 works perfectly with my B.A.D. A.S.S. 45 deg safety, no issues in install or function.

I've heard that the first upgrade you should do to an AR is the trigger, but I ignored that advice for years. I'm a bloody idiot.

Thanks to CDN Gunworx, S&J Hardware and Triggertech, my days off will not come soon enough. I need range time in the absolute worst way.

I love how straight triggers look! Looks great!

I need an aftermarket trigger.. price always turned me off and I keep telling myself the milspec trigger is good enough.. lies..

Do it.

I know that the sticker shock is a big hurdle, and that's what kept me from doing it. When you get it into your rifle though, that goes away immediately. I haven't fired a live round with the thing, and already know without a doubt that it was the best upgrade ever.

For under 300 bucks, this thing will blow your mind.

From the site: "Our straight levers offer a different feel and enable operators to comfortably adjust trigger pull weight by moving their finger up or down on the lever." Cool. Is that your experience OP?

I definitely noticed a difference in weight, the higher you go the heavier, simply because mechanical advantage is lost as you go up. I found that I'm instinctively placing my finger much lower on this than I did on a stock curved trigger. This model is also adjustable from 2.5 - 5 lbs, so I have all kinds of options for trigger feel.

One more thing...

This American website gathered practically all of the drop-in triggers on the market.
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/04/jeremy-s/ar-15-drop-in-trigger-roundup/

They tested them all with a fancy force meter, kind of like a dyno for triggers, and the graphs and their conclusions show the Trigger Tech being the #2 trigger. Not bad for it being Canadian, and half the price of the #1 trigger.

It's funny, because I was going to go with an Elftmann, and the dealer that they recommended I contact put me onto the Triggertech. For hundreds less, I am incredibly happy with this Canadian product. I cant imagine that the difference between the two could possibly justify the price difference.

mikethebike also did a great review on AR triggers, unfortunately he never had a chance of trying the TriggerTech......

awesome. I'm excited that I have one coming my way from firearms outlet Canada's sale. I now know that a trigger will completely change a gun. I worked my first AR trigger in, so I was fine with it. My next AR was used with the worse trigger that has ever existed .. on earth. For around $100 I got a ALG combat trigger and was very surprised and happy with that!

I just had to see a video on youtube about the trigger tech one to have me persuaded that buying it would be a excellent investment
