2 coyote hunters wanted to join established group

I just figured that, as long as we are discouraging fellow hunters and making outrageous clams, that I would jump on the bandwagon..... :)

I hate the damn Cruze and the fact that I had to do it to make my lifestyle viable....... lmao.......

Lol, figured you might have been sipping on the whiskey a little.....but if it will do 461 km/hour...I'm in. :)

Maybe next season. Just moved to KW and my normal coyote group is out in Haldimand County, a little far.
We normally took 40/50 dogs a winter.

having hunted coyotes up your way and here at home in Manitoba don't even compare. alberta/sask have a coyote under every second tree. no mile roads everywhere for the road hunters to educate them. and way more coyotes with way less people after them. its a lot tougher hunting here. I imagine Ontario is even tougher, eastern coyotes are tougher to call/hunt.

What part of Sk are you talking about?
Our grid roads here are on mile square sections, there are road warriors everywhere shooting at yotes, and the wolves have ate the rest! :)

Wow! It sounds like you guys really got to work for your coyotes out there. In November and December it's not uncommon for me to get 5 or 6 per day by myself, in between warmup coffee breaks in the truck. By January they are much more wary, 2 days ago I only got 1, the ole jackrabbit in distress call just isn't doing it for them at this time of year.

I would love to hunt yotes in your area as all I know about it is what I read on here. But if I were to shoot a box of ammo in my area the swat team would show up. Walking from vehicle into a bush with a gun has brought 3 cruisers to check us. We have farms, houses, villages, traffic, horse and buggies, joggers, nature walkers plus dogs and cats and kids playing and antis behind every tree. But we manage to hunt a bit.
Forgot to mention you need written permission even if landowner is hunting with you.

Good 'ol Wilmot Township.... know a group got fined for exactly that... idiot politicians in Waterloo Region... is the Mayor in jail yet?

Time for the mating calls

Hmm manitouland island if full up hear in northern Ontario...... if I could only find some people to do this too ....... can basically go anywhere... just need land owners permission and good to go ... don't need a lic
Just need a good eye and a fast bullet....220 swift... 22-250

How do you guys feel about complete hunting newbies? Ivr been reading my ass off but this is the first year I'm going to be heading out and start scouting for deer. Coyotes never crossed my mind to look into as far as solo hunting goes, but I'd be willing to snowshoe for days.

Crowca's first question will be....can you walk a straight line in the woods ? It's harder than most guys think it is ! And a walk through the woods on a coyote drive or track is not like walking on a trail.

Good luck Snowman it takes some dedication to meet up every Sat when snow is on the ground.....but chasing coyotes is awesome fun, great comradery, will shorten your learning curve and open doors to other hunting opportunities
