New sig 1911 .22?

Zrts is not from vancouver, there in nobelsville indiana thought it was a deal for $70 lol

I meant that Blue Line Solutions are in Vancouver. As I understand it that was a question? The ZRTS kit can be purchased from Blue Line Solutions in Vancouver, Canada. USD70 converts to C$92.00. The price at Blue Solutions in Vancouver is $94.99. I don't see any deal buying from the US.

Pretty sad that we have to buy all sorts of crap to make guns do what you expext them to do. Out of all the guns I own theres only 1 that I haven't felt the need to aftermarket the crap out of it to get what is expected when you buy it (accuracy).

Honestly, you don't have to buy the ZRTS kit for your GSG 1911-22/Sig Sauer 1911-22. It's not a must. I bought one, primarily, to get rid of the barrel screw for simplifying disassembly for cleaning. After using that kit for nearly one year I'm not so convinced that it has any tremendous effect on accuracy. It improves accuracy but just slightly. IMHO one can live happily without that kit and shoot accurately. The GSG 1911-22/Sig Sauer 1911-22 is pretty accurate without the ZRTS kit.
I guess that shooting accuracy is inherently more related to a handgun. I have a Grand Power K22S in .22LR which is a few notches more accurate than my GSG 1911 with the ZRTS kit. Actually, it cost nearly same price as my GSG 1911 with the ZRTS kit. If I had known this before I decided to buy my GSG 1911 then I wouldn't have bought the GSG 1911 at all.

My GSG functions just fine, and is more accurate than I will ever be.

The only thing I changed out was the guide rod. The factory rod broke after I foolishly installed an unnecessary buffer. My fault totally.

Blue Line came to the rescue for me after I posted a Q on this forum. Had me up and running again in less than a week for free.

Very impressed with Blue Line.

Yesterday I received my beautiful sig 1911-22 from Tenda. It is advertised as the standard sig 1911 22 (GSG 1911 with different markings) pistol. It appears to comes with rosewood grips and a mag and manual etc. However it came with standard faux wood grips and 2 mags. Sweet! I noticed the different grips and then I noticed the slide was different. It's not the standard rounded top Gi style 1911, it is the blocky sig style slide with angled rear slide serrations and nice linear milling along the length of the slide. However it's super light like the regular aluminum or zinc alloy gsg slide. It looks excellent! I like the look way better than the standard gsg style. I just haven't been able to find any information on them.

Did Sig change the design for 2016? Has anyone else bought one recently?

I disassembled and cleaned it and it is all the standard gsg style guts. I installed the ZRTS ultimate kits and it feels quite smooth despite the overspray on the inside of the frame. I'll polish these parts after the first range visit.

Range report and pictures to follow.

Let me know what you think,

Are you going to be posting pictures soon, so we can see how it is different, with the angled serrations.

I'm trying to upload from my phone, it works when I click the link. Sorry for the hold up guys!

I recently received a Sig 1911-22 bought from Tenda for $386 delivered. Had put a $100 deposit on one at another dealer who was unsure when they could fill the order (awaiting stock). Deposit was refunded. Bought primarily on price. It's a GSG gun, but does say "Sig". Can't see Sig putting their name on something sub par. Versus a standard GSG 1911-22, the Sig 1911-22 was certainly a better buy.

I have an original Colt .22 conversion installed on a Colt Series 70 frame. Accuracy is OK, but not outstanding. With the Colt "floating chamber" it was to simulate .45ACP recoil, but cheap practice. Since both units are full size, it will be fun to compare performance. My guess is the Sig will shoot better and smoother as it s designed/built as a dedicated ,22 rimfire.

Have a Ruger MKII stainless heavy barrel that's a real shooter. I recently acquired a S&W SW22 Victory that I will compare with the Ruger.

Have a Ruger Single Six Convertible 6.5" to shoot against a S&W 17-3 6" as well.

There's a pattern here...A lot of good shooting fun ahead.

I think the older ones are since they are identical aside from the sig or gsg etching. But the new one has the blocky sig slide. Do the new gsg's have the same blocky slide?

The new slide design looks great!! I have an older Sig and I really like the new slide design on yours, nice change for sure. I thought about adding the ZRTS kit at first, but my Sig, with thousands of rounds thru it is still unbelievably accurate, if I do my part, I get 10 shot groups the size of a quarter at 10-15 yards. I really didn't see the point of adding the kit, that is accurate enough for me, after all, it's a plinker not a target gun.

I love my gsg...but hasn't ever been anything like that accurate...really!
