Good news. That means that the non-restricted classification is locked in and cannot be changed. Even if they discover that the lab made some sort of mistake, the RCMP can no longer change the classification of the Type 81.

Can't change the classification of the semi auto version.... perhaps. Not sure if that phase of C42 came into force.

Can always add a converted auto frt. That frt entry for Polytech doesn't exist. Wouldn't require changing this one, just adding a new entry.

Hate to break this to ya, but all guns under the Canadian gun laws can be reclassified, to "CONFISCATED"!

I didnt know this law was still in place. I thought it was canned

The liberal government probably has no idea these exist, and neither does the major media outlets. Maybe that's why it is taking so long, so they can't change the classification once they get into our hands and therefore in the public eye.

My quess is the Chinese factory is to busy with military export orders to bother with the meezly 500-1000 gun Canadian order..
The Kalashnikov factory has just added another 1500 workers to their existing 6500. So 8000 workers making guns for one company
My once again quess is China is ramping up production also... We are a very small fish in the big pool

The no re-classification thing after 365 days is sure as hell not a myth. Click the link I posted - that is a federal regulation that remains in force.

The won't change the existing frt.

But they can add other frt entries newly for different actions. Semi auto vs full auto vs concerted auto would be different parent frt numbers.

So they wouldn't change it, they'd add a new one.

It is a poorly worded section of legislation that doesn't address the problem at all.

So the safety you imply the regulation gives us is a myth.
