Peep sight for Winchester low wall

I have a new Winchester Low Wall it's in 6.5x55 thin hexagon barrel ,love the rifle but hate the scope on the low wall
Anyways I want a peep sight for my low wall wich will make the rifle ultra light and a pleasure to handle its going to need to go to gunsmith for drill and tap and a frunt sight installed
What sight would you recommend ?
wich gunsmith to use ?

For light and compact and since you're shooting a higher velocity round with a decently flat trajectory I'd suggest a Williams tang mount peep. They are far more compact and less fussy to use than the Soule style vernier rear tang mount options.

For a smith I'd suggest Rusty Wood. Not only does he handle the Williams line and keeps a fair number of them on hand but he's got lots of experience in working on that style of rifle since he's the main go to smith for all the SASS shooters in the region.

The size of the staff used on the Williams sights needs to be set in connection with your option for a front sight. If you know what you want for the front sight he could fit both at the same time and even sight it in for you to some degree.
