Dr. Hunter is right, if they had been honest in the first place, I'm sure some people would have pre-ordered to get this thing going.

However, we still have no proof this accusation/rumour exists. So please let's not go grabbing pitchforks until it's proven/disproved.

Not only is there no proof, there is not so much as a single shred of evidence to suggest such a thing. It is pure paranoid fantasy. TI has not been dishonest in any way shape or form.

We'll it's pure speculation but make sense unless dispelled. I'm considering this rifle again, but this loooong thread has weighed heavily on my decision NOT to pre-order.

Don't let this thread influence your discoing - it's composed of about 90% troll posts about 9.9% valid discussion and 0.01% real information.

So apparently these won't go into production until TI can meet the minimum order quantity. As this drags out and people cancel their preorders it becomes less and less of a reality and more of a fantasy. Obviously TI doesn't have the bank roll to fund the required order quantity. Hopefully another business will pick up the Type-81 in the future.

Source or proof or just being a troll?

This butter be in before the UN marking scheme..

Won't make any difference - they will arrive marked as per the UN scheme just like all the other Chinese rifles imported in the past few years. My Norinco M305B, JW15a and at least one other are cleary marked by the manufacturer in accordance with that UN scheme. China must have adopted it some time ago.

I had a dream about receiving my type 81 in the mail last night. I was starting to cut open the box, thinking how I couldn't wait to take pictures and post them on here and then I woke up. :bangHead:

It's an IMPORT mark so guns will have to be marked when they land on Canadian soil, not before they leave manufacture. It has to be done after it arrives within 60 days of it landing.

Not true. Nothing in the regulation that says who must mark them or when - other than to say it has to be within 90 days of arrival - that does NOT exclude the most logical place for them to be marked - at the manufacturer.

If you speak to the CSSA that's part of the fight because they do have to be marked here & many manufacturers already do the UN marking scheme not good enough for our current ruling despots... that may still all change but yet to be determined
