Exactly. China wants TI to place a full, large order all at once before they will commit to production. TI is selling pre-orders at full price in order to gather the full funds to pay off China's bill before China will build.
Which TI has confirmed after long denials.
Consumers have a couple of choices.
- Walk. Get their money back.
- Stay in and wait for TI to deliver.
- Stay in until such time as someone else delivers, get their money back and buy from the other supplier(s). I can think of 4 dealers (2 sponsors, 2 not) that are or should likely be in this hunt in competition with TI. Could be interesting.

When you read post #3 of the first TI thread announcing the 81, and see the phrase "production is already booked"; then read the update from yesterday, it all reads to me a a f^*ki#g pile of BS.

TI has had a completely different story with every "update" they've made about these rifles. Wolverine, CanAm, or one of the other importers that has a decent track record of actually getting things imported needs to shove TI aside and "Git 'er done."

Why won't they be the best quality if NS jumps on them?
The obvious competition with Chinese connections would be North Sylva, Canada Ammo, Lever Arms and Marstar. I'm sure others are interested.

Ah yes. A mistake on a gun completely different than this one is cause for making blanket statements on overall quality of all guns from said country which that specific importer had no physical hand in making.
