When we were looking at the pics of the day that evening over a few scotch, one of my hunting companions remarked about how prescient I had been to slightly extract the shells so the purple was visible. A little "head's up" to all the 16 gauge fans out there, he suggested. I responded with a "what the hell are you blabbering on about now? Refill please!"
The chambers weren't tight. I was dropping them all over the place.

Is wind em just his call name? or a part of his registered name? the Wind Em line shows up a lot in the maternal side of fdsb pedigree on my dog.

An now my latest dog Bug ( short for Bugger) according to the breeder. He's the most happy go lucky dog I've ever owned and at 2 years has never growled at anyone or anything.
He pointed a wing the first day I got him at 7 weeks.
He was a bit of a puzzler during training but I eventually figured him out.
Last year on a solo hunt with me as the old guy was at an obedience competition.

Wind'em was his call name. His registered name was Houdini's D'Hurlain Pre. His sire was Count Gladstone Wind'em D'Hurlain Pre and there are "Wind'em D'Hurlain Pre"s all over his paternal line.

I agree Hoyt, Great pictures! Not always easy to get them to look at the camera. Looks like that springer is no stranger to a limit of birds great work all around.

A bundle of coiled energy doesn't even begin to describe that little dog...I've yet to have him tired enough where I can say "Bird!" and not have him get excited.
Me holding a gun in that picture is also a misrepresentation, Townes caught that mallard all by himself. I'm assuming it was someone's cripple from the weekend before. All I know is he went "birdy" and bombed into the patch of cattails and came out with the bird.
