Feds want to increase the number of grizzly bears in the North Cascades ecosystem..

I suggest you try working as a janitor, taxi driver, or fast food worker for a few decades. ;) They take jobs that you and I don't want, that benefit us all.

You neglected to mention the many skills that came with immigrants many of whom were craftsmen and artisans...which differ from the skills that come with the Syrian refugees.

Ha! History is certainly written by the victors.

It is also written by victims... which many feel that we are about to become.

Sorry, the immigrants that do those jobs are not the ones getting all the attention, Prime Minister greeting them at the border, etc. I have respect for the Hindus, Chinese, and Phillipinos that come here and work hard.

We don't need people from cultures that view work as demeaning.

I think you guys are getting way off topic and really derailing this thread.....

Hey, some of us actually have to live with the stuff , idealists in the big cities come up with. No Grizzly season in Alberta for many years now and human bear interactions are increasing dramatically. One of those "beloved" bears from Banff National Park died a good 150 Km. from where he was supposed to be. Lot of unhappy Canmore and Banff conservationists

Grizz

Seeing as you've thoroughly hijacked this thread I'll bite.

For goodness sake, will you turn friiggn Fox "News" off please?

The current bunch of refugees are fleeing that kind of extremism.

I would agree that Canada is comprised wholly of immigrants, but they weren't waving a flag of Islam and trying to implement Sharia law. How many do you think Turdeau will allow to enter before he exits stage right to go live in his bunker on an uncharted island?

I'll take the blame for this hijack, took the bait. My wife is an elementary teacher and has Syrian kids now in her classes, not going to lie we were completely opposed to "letting them in"... then we met them and learned what they'd been through.

Back to grizzly bears in Regina and other meaningful matters. ;)

Ok then..... :)

Personally I tend to gravitate towards the KISS rule on most things and this is no exception....

I would be in favour of reintroducing grizz to their previous habitat if:

A) it is I'll still support them
B) it is not now close to a metropolis
C) introducing them won't wipe out existing species

For example, if grizz migrated away from an area due to a drop in the local ungulate population it makes little sense in my view to reintroduce them if the area is still suffering for grizz prey.....

Simply deciding that we should just go ahead and drop grizzly everywhere there used to be grizzly is a bad idea.......

It hard to understand the Fear of Grizly bears wen your from northern BC

My Favorite documentary Canada's Simon Gunanoot story it's a good piece Canadian history
With such Beautiful and remote country and its polar opposite's to Prairie provinces
I post link before but a bit of history and a good story never gets old and Worth watching again just for scenery alone

Ummm, can we get back to the topic of Feds (America) Increasing Grizzlies in the Cascade Mountain Range please.
Being an apex Predator they can roam where ever the hell they want and unfortunately that can cause them to loose that urge with a bullet.
I personally do not expect them to relocate in downtown Winnipeg or Toronto, but they certainly have the possibility to wander into down town Hope like they have in Squamish BC.

If you didn't have half the site on ignore you may have seen that we did and not succeeded in further derailing the thread....

Of course, you won't see this, so I guess it really doesn't matter...... :)

Grizzly bears = OKay

New kind of refugees that want to live in their country by their laws inside Canada = no thank you. Move them to grizzly country

I'll quote you! I don't think I am on his ignore list? Yet?? ;)

Prides himself on it..... calls it "coveted"......

Personally, I don't see why anyone would want to join a discussion forum that only echos his own opinion..... I could listen to myself talk all day if I wanted to...... :)

As for grizz, I would be happy to see more introduced under the right parameters....

If it wasn't for the Grizly all the guys with the 357H&H and 375 ruger would look kind of goofy haha JK
