There has been a lot of talk in the last couple years and most recently through a Business member on CGN Posting a "WARNING SKS prices will go up in 2017".Thought I would start a fresh thread and hopefully other Members would make posts as the best deals on Surplus Firearms and Ammunition come up through businesses that advertise on CGN as well as others that don't. We all like to get good deals and help out a fellow Canuck eh!!!

$189.99 sale starts soon! Haven't seen a sale like that since 2012 edit: roughly $230 with taxes and flat shipping rate!

$219...roughly the same price as most Canadian tire.

West rifle has a pretty fair deal on ammo+free shipping $299

I've talked to the Canadian tire in Fredricton New Brunswick and they had crates of 1440 7.62x39 on for $225 I believe....if they have any in stock anymore?
Anybody know of any other cheap deals. Pls post. Thanks

While its nice to see decent prices, door crasher specials are not everyday prices, they are part and parcel of marketing strategies so companies can stay in business. "Discount Warehouses" do not stay in business for long.

The thread ( are we in an SKS price bubble) below, lists a good few places for inexpensive SKS, I made a road trip to Freddy a week ago and bought 10 crates at $225, cost including tax and gas was under $270 a crate, to split between myself and friends! Bayern lake CTC has birch stock sks on for $199. And if you ask nice they will bring a few out for you to look at! Still lots of deals around if you look!

Don't forget the taxes. Once you add shipping as well you are looking at the promised increase of 2017.

I think everyone is quoting before tax price. Shipping is usually why i try to find local deals as it often ruins the deals from farther away! Although some places have a set shipping cost which helps!

This Canadian tire has the cheapest price in Canada.

CT has 30x CT money on the 11th (with a CT credit card). They are $229 plus taxes here. $27.50 in CTM.

Their ammo prices are out to lunch however.

Just because an SKS can be bought cheap does not mean that it is a nice SKS . I have seen some BBQ paint junk out there in the last six months that I would not take home for any price .Hopefully folks are checking these rifles over before purchase , and are just not getting caught up in the hype .

Got a lead on some 1500 wood crates of 7.62x39 for $267.75 taxes in I believe.....it's coming from Alberta to Vancover Island! I will ad details later if there is any left over!!!! Thats pretty cheap!!!!
Edit: swamp donkey outdoors in Stoney Plain Alberta has em at that price..... maybe call cabelas and get em to do a price match, keep it in stock at swamp donkeys :)

Bought a 1500 rd crate from CT in Brandon last wknd, along with a few other, non-firearms items. Noticed (after I got home, of course...) that they didn't apply any ct money to the ammo purchase, just the non-firearms items. Didn't bother calling them about it...
Is this an individual store thing, or country wide?

Paid cash, $329 for the ammo itself. Corrosive. A bit more than I care to pay, but they are the closest source...

Yes they are on sale right now boys and girls :)
$236 taxes in....unsure about shipping....last time it was free but might be different now?
Edit: $20 flat rate shipping or free over $600.....

Surplus corrosive is .19 cents a round as well

I bought 100 rds of Barnaul at CT in Winnipeg today and received my 20x Canadian tire money bonus. So it's either individual store policy or just on surplus ammo. I bought an sks in Brandon not more than a month ago. Also received my ct money bonus on that purchase so surplus guns seem to be okay as well.
