We need to support Maxime Bernier

I would like to see him win, but I doubt western Canada will vote for another Quebecer to lead the country.

Being from Alberta I think most people from out west will vote for him once they read his stance on most issues across the country. As it benefits us as well. Most of it is just common sense.

It's his healthcare suggestions that scare me. Privatisation is a risky route, We don't need to look any further than our neighbours to see how unaffordable a simple broken arm can be...

I've had positive experiences with the U.S. system, even though it's probably the worst example of a privatized system.

Will vote for Brad Trost as his firearm policy:
Firearms: Repeal C-68 . . . IN FULL

Can't trust Bernier, he say yes to Bill c16 then regretted.

I am not too sure if his promises are sincere, or just a stand to get votes and then no action. I think the latter. I signed up and was continuously asking questions on his stances on firearms, and all I got back was replies related to everything other than firearms. If he truly does support firearms, then he will get my vote, but I want to see some action, not something printed on a web site by his publicists.

I asked about of questions and called his office, I got danced around, unless there is more action or written documents I will vote for on of the least favourites, but we do need to purge the office asap

Under that Doad, i was charged for being a member of a political party.

Are you sure about that?
You were likely charged for failure to submit a DND 2839 (which would fall under 129).

As per the Defence Ethic Program:
4. When and to whom am I required to submit a confidential report?

You are required to submit a Confidential Report (DND Form 2839E) to the COI Section, in any set of circumstances where you own a non exempt asset, practice of an outside activity or employment, or participate in political activities, regardless of your functions in the political organization and or its jurisdiction (band council, school board, municipal government, provincial or territorial legislatures or federal politics). This includes participation on election or re-election committees or being a volunteer for a political formation.

As per QR&O 19.44:
(7) No member of the Regular Force shall:

take an active part in the affairs of a political organization or party;
make a political speech to electors, or announce himself or allow himself to be announced as a candidate, or prospective candidate, for election to the Parliament of Canada or a provincial legislature; or
except with the permission of the Chief of the Defence Staff, accept an office in a municipal corporation or other local government body or allow himself to be nominated for election to such office.
(8) No officer or non-commissioned member shall organize or take part in a political meeting on a defence establishment.

(M)

NOTES

(A) Examples of meetings or speeches that might be considered to be political meetings or political speeches are those that are designed to:

solicit votes for a candidate in a federal, provincial or municipal election;
solicit funds to support a candidate in a federal, provincial or municipal election or a political party; or
organize a lobby to maintain or change public policy at the federal, provincial or municipal level.
(B) An example of a meeting or speech that might not be considered to be a political meeting or political speech is a meeting or speech that is designed to impart information but does not require or expect any specific solicited political action to follow as a result

Hope this helps

Cheers

14 in the race is absolutely ridiculous. It's a 3 horse race and the rest are just fracturing the vote. First time I ever joined a political party and Bernier is getting my support. We need to stop O'leary every bit as much as we need to protect our firearms rights imo.
