Bingo , 1 3/8" hole saw , they're almost self guiding , put your drill press table at 90 degs , put the top of the forearm against that to use as a guide , helps to have a 2nd set of hands for this .

I did my fist one with a hole saw and ended up going a little too far. The second time I just chiseled it out carefully and found it worked really well.

How did you go about getting and using the MCS slide and foregrip assemblies - does the slide just drop in to a standard 870?

they are exactly the same except the tube length on them are shorter. selling a MSC action bar and nut if you need one, PM me.

Yep they will fit any 870. IIRC, I had to modify one by filing a tab off for a wingmaster carrier. Gravel Agency can get them but you have to order from your local gun store...I obtained these a few years ago, but when I tried to order again I was told Remington will only sell to LEO. Later I heard Remington is refusing to sell these as spare parts anymore but have not confirmed this as the point is moot, I am not LEO. I am however always interested in finding another, it makes the pump stroke seem shorter...as someone previously said, it's like a jedi mind trick lol.

Didn't mod the action tube , Bored out the magpul forearm , it's not that hard to do , just don't be in a hurry .

I actually did the same with my 14" 590a1, it turned out great and was pretty easy with a few tools.

I have a 8.5" tube fed grizzly that that I have been looking to add a pistol grip forend to. The norc tube is a larger diameter than the 870 standard. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Pistol grip fore-ends arn't the greatest idea. For super short shotguns it's nessisary. Otherwise your action bars are going to bend or wear excessively.

Dlask sells one for the 8.5" that has picatinay rails machined into it, easy to put a vertical foregrip on it or a light etc.

The one on the right was built from parts off the EE , it was just as easy to mod the L3 forearm as it was the magpul one , this is a nice light for the price .

Didn't buy all this stuff at the same time been putting it together over the last 10 years its now done except I would like to thread the barrel so I can install interchangeable chokes.
