-overall? ACR fully modded, Tavor x95 if you prefer bullpups
-out of the box? ATRS MV, Tavor x95 if you prefer bullpups
-sub $3000? Used ACR, Tavor x95 if you prefer bullpups
-sub $2500? Used Tavor Tar-21 or keymod XCR if you dont like bullpups
-sub $2000? Used Tavor Tar-21 or quad rail XCR if you dont like bullpups
-sub $1500? VZ58 or Gen 2 T97NSR flat top.

Just my thoughts on how to get the most bang for your buck, or in the case of the first 2 points, just the best bang.
