ACR diet plan.

i dont mind heavy guns because I use 2 point slings, Im getting used to heavy NRguns anyways
heres a mike run down:
The tavor is the handiest and fastest to target, trigger is god awful, mine has an acog, ar mags
The swiss is about the weight of the ACR nice trigger but cant mount stuff without a cheek-riser mine has a browe, proprietary mags
The ACR with the super acr trigger is a great rifle, a bit heavy, but with a sling its fine, regula plastic hanguards mine has an aimpoint/acog, ar mags, the balance on my configuration is two finger widths in front of the magwell, maybe dilli has to much crap on his.
The cz858 is the lightest of the NR I own and its a real fun rifle to shoot mine has an aimpint with fab defence furniture, proprietary mags
The APC (when it gets here) might have an aimpoint i have for spare for a bit but ill try to put an acog i also have spare on her if I can figure out a way, ar mags (it seems)

Cz and Tavor balance nice, The ACR Aftermarket handguard is lighter then the plastic basic handguard. lol... And I run 2 points on all my rifles.

Once you shoot the Tavor and CZ you leave the ACR in the case, Thats just how the cookie crumbles, Why waste perfectly good range time lugging around a unbalance riffle.

Dont get me wrong, Im a bit worried about the APC's weight but hopefully the accuracy will make it worthwhile.

As for triggers thats a moot point on the Tavor and ACR since you can just swap them out.

Heck I find my SVT-40 repo sniper better balanced than the ACR...lol... Might just add weight to the ACR's rear stock to solve the issue.

Well right now its

Tavor
Cz858
ACR

For my top 3 in that order, Until I handle that APC I cant tell, and the Type 81 will be thrown in the mix as well. But its cheap chinese junk so im pretty sure it will go straight to 5th place.

The ACR is currently last due to weight and chitty balance.

who knows maybe the type 81 balances well

That's a good run down as I have/had cz, tavor, swiss rifles etc.....

So the ACR is Swiss weight??? Not bad at all to me then.

May Dilli needs to work out a bit more :p

As for the T81 being heavier then the cz, where did you hear or see that ino?

858 better than an ACR? lol never thought I would hear that.

My SVT-40 repo sniper get the most range time followed by my Cz858 , Vz52/57 , Rasheed and then my Tavor, ACR , Cadex , and all my other rifles get a back seat.

Shooting is about having fun, and fun isn't found in super expensive guns. Its found with the rifle you like the best.

I like drinking the Black rifle kool aid as much as the next guy. But sometime you have more fun without all the tactical bells and whistles

If you told me to go to war and handed me the ACR and CZ858, I would take the CZ858 and fight my way to a Tavor...lol...

Well I finally found a fixed stock for a decent price and was able to shed a bit more weight.

Once my APC sells the T2 will go on the ACR and will start looking for a lightweight barrel. My go5al is to have it under 8Lbs with optic.

Could you just re-profile your existing barrel? I was going to do that to my MH but then I found a proof barrel on the EE and now my ol' lady is mad at me!
