Hey guys, Ive been searching a bit lately for whats around in the Ruger #1 offering, various calibres here and there but I'm not sure many would want to Swap the rifle for mine.... and I'm not entirely sure I want to swap out mine!

So what would be your favourite Ruger #1 Chambering which would have to be Open sighted of some sort.... most likely not to be scope but must have opens as a minimum!

I'm interested in hearing..

Thanks fellas!

There are 2 - #1 Rugers that I regret selling.
!. A #1 AB in 7x57. Accurate and very pretty...
2. A #1 B in 300 Win Mag. This one had wood, both fore and aft that would make you weak in the knees.
Can't figure out what I was thinking, It was also a very accurate rifle.

45-70 it's the nicest handling #1 they offered in my opinion, but probably not the most versatile chambering.

My favorite? Why, my new .44 Magnum, of course. The 20" barrel is incredibly compact in a falling block. I waited 30 years to get one and I'm quite pleased with it.

I'd like to have one like this with 25" bbl and red pad in 7x57 Rimmed. I could live w/o the tang sight.

Nice! Actually, to my eye, I think the tang sight adds to the 'Look'. I've only had two Ruger No. 1's. One in 22-250 that my Son in the B.C. interior now has, primarily for Coyotes. The other was a heavier barrelled 25-06. That one I wish I would've kept.
