Building the Best Canadian Made Pistol Carbine (Non-Restricted!)

-Ambidextrous is not an issue. I'm a lefty, we just have to learn to roll with it. At this point I'm more used to running a right handed gun than lefty. Unless it is a bullpup, then it needs ambi ejection.
-Side charging. I like my MPX, but I'm not a fan of the AR charging handle.
-Take down does not matter to me. That is a cool feature, but doesn't influence my purchase decision one bit.
-Light is awesome, but cash is king...
-Barrels. I'm fine with an el cheapo barrel, but would prefer a stainless; so I guess either of the first two options. Carbon wrapped is cool, but again, cash is king.
-Handguard: simple is fine. A top rail is all I need on a PCC.
-Oh, Canada! YES. Nothing beats a good quality Canadian firearm.
-I would be willing to be in the higher price point of 13-1600; obviously would prefer less, though.

Also, can I pay you now?

Glock sig M&P mags

and accepts AR15 handgaurds stocks and triggers

ar15 charging handle

treated barrel

9mm 40 S&W 7.62x25

has to be modular MLOK is key

NIB coatings or the new NCC coating to make cleaning easy and less ware on parts
make it blowback or piston make base
5 pounds ish STOCK RIFLE 1200-1300 RANGE KIT RIFLE 900 TO 1000

MAKE KITS THAT ARE MISSING HANDGARD STOCK GRIPS SO WE CAN BUILD TO ARE WANTS PPL LIKE PLAYING DRESSUP

Ambi good, prefer AR style charging handle and not a bullpup (I shoot left, my son shoots right, hard to share a firearm when plinking if the ejection port needs to be switched for each person)
Cal 9mm, .45, 7.62X25 (especially!) using Glock (or Tok for the X25 cal) mags
Stainless barrel
takedown isn't a dealbreaker either way
light and Canadian are worth a premium to me, as long as the premium isn't stupid high.
m-lok or keymod, either works for me as I'll just attach picatinny rails where I need them to use the add-ons I already own.

As a lefty:
A left friendly design is a good idea, especially because sub2000s are well known to be unfriendly/unusable by lefties.

Left friendly doesn't require left ejecting. But:
- where right eject throws the shells does matter
- also that needs to be consistent (getting hit in the teeth only once every 100 shots is unacceptable).
- and the port has to be far enough forward to keep gases off your face.

If its going to be like JR Carbine but easier to disassemble/Clean and looks more Tacticool...I'll buy it. I have a JR 9mm and its so annoying to properly clean the damn thing.

Q1) Is an ambidextrous ejection port important to you when buying a firearm?
Option 2: No, I would buy it anyways

Q2) Is an ambidextrous charging handle important?
Left side or ambi. Right side only is a deal breaker for me.

Q3) Do you prefer side charging handles or an AR15 style charging handle?
Option 1: I prefer side charging handles left side

Q4) Does "Take Down" matter? Do you care if you can separate the rifle easily to make it more compact?
We plan on developing a 1 second, tool-less twist lock release that separates the Barrel and hand guard together as one piece from the receiver Allowing super compact storage, and easy cleaning
Option 1: I prefer my firearms to have a "Take Down". This is huge, and if as described, would replace my S2Ks.

Q5) Does weight matter to you?
Of course we want to make everything as lightweight as possible, but we want to know how much it matters to you.
Option 1: Yes, I want everything to be as lightweight as possible

Q6) Weight Savings - Would you pay slightly more to save more weight?
Option 1: Pay more for better lighter materials

Q7) What kind of barrel? We want to build the best rifle package at the most competitive price possible.
We feel that most companies uses cheap barrels. We want to use the best. If we can include a Carbon Fiber, SS barrel at NO ADDITIONAL COST to you, would you want that? Or prefer just regular steel, or SS?
Lifetime warranty on the barrel! and our Firearm!
Option 3: High-end Stainless Steel Carbon Fiber Wrapped - BEST!
OR Option 2: Slightly more expensive Stainless Steel - No Rust

Q8) What kind of forend / handguard?
Top rail and M-LOK so I can add what i need

Q9) Do you care if firearms are made in Canada?
Option 1: Yes! I support Canadian Business - If price is fair

Q10) Price Point - What price do you think would be fair for an incredible Canadian made Non-Restricted firearm like this
Option 2: 1000-1300

Option 2: No, I would buy it anyways

Q2) Is an ambidextrous charging handle important?
Option 1: I only buy firearms that are capable of ambi charging

Q3) Do you prefer side charging handles or an AR15 style charging handle?

Option 2: I don't care how heavy it is!

Q6) Weight Savings - Would you pay slightly more to save more weight?
Option 2: Heavy and cheap works for me

Option 1: Plain regular steel - Cheapest

Q8) What kind of forend / handguard?
Option 3: I prefer a simple round handguard with no rails or very limited

Q9) Do you care if firearms are made in Canada?
Option 2: Don't Honestly Care, pricing is most important

Q10) Price Point - What price do you think would be fair for an incredible Canadian made Non-Restricted firearm like this

I'm a lefty shooter and have been seriously looking at buying a PCC some time.

1) Option 2, I don't care about ambi ejection ports. Brass flying in front of my face is fine as long as it doesn't fly into my face.
2) Depends on question 3. If it's a side charger just keep it to the right, if It's AR15 style charging go ambi.
3) Don't care, so long as it matches my response to question 2.
4) Option 1, though not having it wouldn't be a deal breaker.
5) Option 1, within reason for price and solid construction.
6) Option 1, again within reason. Not looking for a $2500 fancy skeletonized PCC.
7) Option 2, unless somehow carbon fiber wrapped barrels wouldn't be a lot more.
8) Option 3, rails add weight, are less comfortable to grip, and I don't plan on loading on accessories. Maybe just a small section up front for a front sight like this https://www.rainierarms.com/media/product/0c3/slr-rifleworks-14-solo-ultra-lite-ar15-handguard-mlok-14ml-ul-by-slr-rifleworks-d4c.jpg. MLOK over keymod too, if it came with keymod I'd want to replace it which I would then have to consider the added cost of doing on top of purchase price.
9) Option 1, but I get the practicality of option 2.
10) Option 2 preferably, Option 3 if I like it a lot. What I'm willing to spend would be dependent on how it matches up with what I want.

Q1) 2
Q2) 2
Q3) 1
Q4) 1 Folding/Takedown improve reason to exist
Q5) 1 = lightweight, but without overreaching pricey tech
Q6) 1 = lightweight where it is cost effective, so perhaps answer is 1.5
Q7) good steel, QPQ treatment
Q8) simple, but AR15 compatible would be ideal
Q9) 1 if price is fair
Q10) 1, 2 only if this is something exceptional if versatility/design

* 7.62x25 vote
* QPQ treatment
