Quick pics of the Lithgow F90

-There is NO quick change barrel, so that would keep it in the NR
-At 11:50 in the video it shows the differences. The bolt and bolt carrier are different and supposedly not compatible with the AUG.

Dickson were you not the the cssa dealer show where this firearm was on display and also the rcmp were at the booth.
As well as the manufacturer all the way from oz ?
Maybe pay better attention. Next time buddy ;)
Or were you to busy working for north sylva that day?

As others have said it could be prohibited and it may not.
Just like the Tavor it has lingerie to a F/A as do others
Maybe we just let the importer and the Lab do its thing ad see what happens

I really liked shooting the AUG.
Certainly hope that this one clears the SFSS as N-R.
Just have to wait and see.

Correct
I think RL 1 left before the full to Aug arrived for display from M.A.G.
I f
Tigger is much nicer then the AUG

The only thing that matters, in the decision to buy is accuracy, no need for a 2K plus gun that's 3 m.o.a.

Its not fair to compare this to the Tavor as far as classification goes. Full auto version or not, the Tavor is not named Prohib under order and council. The styer Aug on the other hand is named. That is was separates these two.

Reliability, ergonomics, "handiness", trigger pull are all more important to me than accuracy. If you want maximum accuracy a military-style bullpup semi-auto rifle is not where you should be looking.

While that is all true (things other than accuracy should be foremost) there is no reason a gun that costs over $2000 shouldn't be capable of reasonable accuracy. If you can get a sub moa guarantee on an AR for like $1200, I see no excuse for this to be unable to make 2moa or better with appropriate ammo.

"Aug is banned tavor is non restricted, I just farted it felt nice and smells nice, oh! time to go do fingerpainting!"

The inner workings of the liberal gun banners mind.

That may be easily argued by simple copyright laws:

If it were truly the same gun, and not something offering familiar handeling to the former Steyr AUG platform - not unlike the AKM vs the non-restricted CZ 858 model - then this would have been successfully sued upon entering production.

It was not.

Ergo, it is not a variation, and just apes the controls - allowing easier integration within the Australia's military... And in no way running afoul of our own.

😎

Good to hear someones working on them already! If the RCMP gives it a pass somehow I'll be first in line!

How old is the AUG? Patents expire....

If it's NR and in the $2000 range, I think I'd be selling a few guns to fund it.

Depending on what the Queen's Cowboys in the FRT lab do(and how long they drag their feet), this could be a hot seller in Canada.

Maybe they can rack them next to the unrestricted semi auto AK's? And Unicorn saddles. While I'd love to see these available, non-restricted and (relatively) cheap, keep in mind that the same maker produces bolt guns that go for $1400-$1800 (even in rimfire) and the wholesaler has a ....checkered(??) past.
