In my estimation the many steps in this process where the thing could have gone sideways are now passed, assuming that the public disclosure is reflective of the true facts, and now its simply a routine matter of waiting for the transportation to be completed. So I for one don't see that further discussion of disaster scenarios is warranted.

WRONG!!! Still has to go through CBSA and possible re-inspection.. and I said possible...

Please someone lock this thread its so painful from the shipping speculation to the AK mag questions over and over that wont stop.

Dude... chill out. If they lock it, someone will start another one in under 10 seconds. Let 'er run. If it bothers you, don't read it.

And besides, TI hasn't cleared up whether it takes AK mags yet... ;)

What are you talking about they've said no more times than I wish to count.

The gov't authorities can re-inspect til the cows come home but if nothing has changed it won't make any difference. In fact I'd be surprised if they didn't re-inspect.

omg there is a chance these take AK47 MAGAZINES

What if the ship they are on, hits a old world war 2 stray mine... and sinks???
Will TI give us our money back?
Or will the whole thing have to be restarted?

I'm pretty sure a kraken will take down this ship as it cruises over the Laurentian Abyss..

Am I missing something here? If these are(or soon will be) so much in demand, why wouldn't there be future productions? I see the type 97 still being produced, so why not the type 81?

Would someone fill me in?

Thanks!

TI found out during this whole process that the factory doesn't produce these rifles unless there are big orders. Pretty much the only reason why we are getting them at all is because the Chinese government made a military order of the type 81's. We just got to piggyback on the order, or that's what I took from the message TI sent couple months ago.

Yeah makes sense, also a valid concern for future production runs. So we got lucky really. The quality is gunna be sweet.

Thanks for the insight! Somehow to me it sill doesn't add up though, so does that means the t97 were being mass produced which is why we're able to get consistent supply?
