The Varmints are coming!!!!

Mine was 13 or 14 months, but that was due to the huge proof research export pemit ATRS applied for not knowing it required congress approval due to the scale of the permit.

Yeah, I read about that. I guess the strategy would be to apply for just less than the Congressional approval threshold.

Wait what? The US Congress had to approve it? Like cast a vote? Or is it a bureaucrat that signs off? that's a lot of political power required for an export permit damn

Well, I just had my varmint out at the range. 3 shots touching is easily repeatable, honestly I wasn't expecting it to be this accurate with Remington 55gr fmj! Good work ATRS!

I would expect that they would be reluctant. If it did accept standard barrels, and you could use a standard AR setup to change barrels soon everybody would be changing them. That's not an issue. But sooner of later you know somebody would get caught with a 12" or 14" barrel on a "supposedly" non-restricted rifle, and the RCMP and the CFO would be all over them. All of their work and money that was invested to get a non-restricted status would be put in jeopardy.

I can't say as I blame them. I wouldn't want anybody messing with something that I'd assembled to meet certain criteria.

While it is a legitimate concern, I do not think it is a big one. Reason being there are many other rifles out there with a toolless QD barrel change design and there is easy access to both NR and R lengths.

The MH is standard, and short AR10 barrels exist. What is the problem? None.

Those other rifles with a toolless QD barrel change option, are not manufactured by a small independent Canadian company that put up a lot up front to make this happen. Their market is South of the border, or even international, and they couldn't care less about the classification in Canada. This firearm is new on the market, and close enough in resemblance to an AR-15, that this would be a concern for me, if it was my money. The new NEA102, or whatever it's called now, is a prime example. They'll build it in .308 because they managed to get it through the system, but they have stated categorically that they will not be building one in .556. Why? Because it would be almost impossible to get through our system as non-restricted, and might jeopardize their current offering's status.

Hey can anyone tell me what scope mounts ,you're using?

I'm got a Sightron S111,6-24, on the way and was thinking I'd get a ADM mount.

I had an adm mount, it was really nice but now I run on all my guns aero precision mount. Its less expensive and it weighs alot less! 3.2 va 8.4 oz.

Hey, thanks.
I had a couple of the AP mounts,I found them good.
Also had a ADM and I liked the QD lever.

But your right, the AP is half the cost.

Yes,I think I'll give the AP another shot.

Thanks
