Blade tech holster fail!

I have owned lots of blade tech holsters in the past, but this is my first fail. 8 month old holster, bought new from Select Shooting Supplies. Probably ten range outings and a few matches. Just emailed Blade tech to see what they will do for me, and what kind of hassle it will be. Guess I am not shooting this weekend :(

Well that sucks. When/how did you notice the crack?

I was taking it off my belt, to blow the dust off and put on my Glock holster. I noticed the last range outing that it was flexing a bit, but i did not see that it was cracked. My Shadow 2 is a lot heavier than my Glocks, so it seems to flex more when I draw and holster the pistol.

Crazy... I have a dozen bladetechs ranging from my PPQ to a railed 1911... never a problem with any of them, despite hard use.

Hopefully they'll sort you out.

What happened? Yes, Grech is terrible.

Safety fell out first time I shot it. Put in the extended safety in that came with the pistol and it fell out. The spring and detent are there but it looks like that track that safety runs on is missing. Had 2 gun smiths look at it before sending it out to Grech (the only CZ warranty dealer in Canada) and they seem to think the frame is to blame. Called Grech and they told me they didn't even have my gun. Then after they found it 3 months into this debacle after I called them again and they finally decided to ask what was wrong with it! A very detailed explanation letter was sent along with the pistol. I called last week (month 4) and they said they ordered parts, I asked what parts and they said "the parts that were needed" I also told them I was leaving the country next month and didnt want to miss receiving my pistol in the mail. They scoffed and said "ohhh your not getting it back for a long time"

But I did order a new Blade Tech holster for it, so I got that going for me. Oh wait......damnit

Grech blows, I will never send another firearm to them again! If I need something fixed that I can't do, I will pay a good smith to do the work!

I have been into the Grech shop(10 minutes from my home town), I didn't get a good feeling about the place. When the ejector got stuck on my 10tr I paid a local gunsmith to fix it. I didn't want to deal with that rodeo.

Good call, my 10tr was there for a year with no end in sight, luckily savage finally gave me a new one!

We are sorry that your holster failed.

We have been a Bladtech dealer for almost five years now and while we have had two warranty issues, a very low number given the volume of Bladetech products we sell, neither have been holsters, both mag pouches. This is a first for us.

Bladetech stands behind their products and will replace the holster. If you contact us via email we can assist you in getting a warranty replacement holster.
