So i like cheap paintjobs and decided to start a thread about it.

Show me yours! And please tell how you did it, technique used and colors, brand of paint etc...

I did mine with the good ol laudry bag and krylon tan and OD

I've got a few that are actually in need of a ####ty paint job but I can't seem to source aervoe paint around me and I can't stand the basic krylon colors.

Just for my own amusement, why the riser for the eotech? Do you run NODs often or just like your optic sitting higher?

No nods, i read somewhere about the advantages of raised optics and gave it a try, i would absolutely recommend people to give it a try as it may work very well with your own body shape, stance etc...

In fact mine is 1/2" and i still think 5/8 or 3/4 could be better.

Rule number 1: don't over think it!

Use a laundry bag, leaves, grass or even sponges to get a nice pattern.

Larger patterns are best from far away and smaller patterns are best to blend in at closer ranges.

I know, the Elcan DR is way too tall for that platform.
We were just playing around with it.
