Cleaning the cosmoline form m305

Going to start cleaning the grease from a Norinco m305/m14

Does anyone have any helpful hints on what you did?

Strip it and put it in the dishwasher. Seriously. Also, if you want to refinish the cheap chu wood stock, put that in too.

Don't think you have to go to that degree! It's not that bad....just get some cleaner that you like and take it down to major parts, spray on, wipe off, repeat. Barrel is important, make sure there is nothing in there. Swap the stock if possible, but it will do you for a while. A kid won a military match that I shot a while ago with a Norc he bought the day before. Don't knock these guns, they can shoot.....even with the not so desirable wood stocks.
