BCL102 Range Review, SECOND RANGE TRIP POST 123!!!

yeah the 178 ELD-X literally looked like buckshot on my target, was not liking that ammo that's for sure. Im going to have to try more 150s
not the biggest fan of 150gr but it is what it is.

I think there is promise for 165 and 168 still, but it will require some handload tuning. Hence why we are all anticipating Jerry's findings!

Does the MI rail fit ? im about to order one and want to make sure its DPMS thread. ?

We have been told it is Armalite thread not DPMS. It is in the FAQ thread. No one has tested this yet. I have both to test I just don't have a good enough vise to do it with at the moment.

Ok ill order up the Armalite one :) This is gonna be an expensive Brownells order. lol...

MI Rail
BCM stock and Grip
.308 Vice block
AR10 nut wrench
JP .308 Buffer Spring
SSA-E Trigger
308 Raptor CH

Hopefully im not forgetting anything. lol...

In fact, imma go get a new vise now so I can find out :p That is assuming my barrel nut wrench i have works...

Wow that will be a nice setup! You will love the rifle. I can't stop fondling mine. She hasn't let me down!

Ok kool order placed :)

Now the wait since the hand guard is B/O and the CH is on PRE order. Had to remove the BCM stock to keep the order under 500$...lol...

what in the heck is going on with this?

I cant seem to figure it out. The nut in front of the barrel nut is attached to the threading (receiver extension?) and the barrel nut itself doesnt look like it can slide over it.

Just a thought. Loosen the outer one that the handguard attaches to first. This should unlock it and then allow you to loosen the inner one that has the wrench flats on it. Things should then screw right off.

I would suggest that the fluted piece is the collar to which the handguard is attached. It screws onto the upper receiver. The barrel is retained by the collar with the wrench flats; it screws into the handguard mounting collar.

Here are 3/5/10 shot groups all the same load. Started in the center and went clockwise for one shot each until the targets got their designated number of shots. About 1-2 mins between shots.

At 215 rounds now with 10 malfunctions, all of which happened in the first 100 rounds.

Yup working on order #2 since I couldn't fit it all in the first one ....lol...

Im trying to figure out what Buffer and spring to grab as well if I should grab a spare bolt. Looks like the Brownells rod is only 46$ :)

They are a few different buffers and spring combos, Does the 102 use a rifle or carbine buffer ? Love the JP springs, I used them all the time in my AR builds.

Nice. I am super stoked right now. Probably going to do a paint job on the Handuguard at some point, but otherwise loving it! Thanks to SSG9 again for the handguard! It is indeed armalite threaded.

Basically the first nut was to help index the barrel nut as some suggested.
