thanks to everyone that made it to the championship match today! Weather was great, and by that I mean hot. Food was excellent! Huge thanks to Dave for AROing, and my roatining squad of AROs. Congratulations to our top shooters. It was great to the the QC CQB guys make the drive to visit us.

A great shoot today. Ran very smoothly. Everyone seemed to have fun, despite the mental errors.

Lunch was excellent.

We thanked Andrew for his effort, and he in turn said it could not have been possible without the efforts of Barney and all the volunteer AROs.

I was hot. My shorts and sandals were perfect, although not in cammo…

I notice that every one now brings a table, at least, to hold their gear, and something to rest the targets on while scoring and patching.

And wheels are now popular for moving the kit from the car to the range.

My personal shoot went well. Second match in a row without a major mental error (except for the mag with 4 rounds that was supposed to have 5…) My score would have been my best one yet, except I lost the entire score for the last match when I shot after the bell in the last pistol match.

Thanks to Andrew for running things, Tony for doing targets and everyone for for coming out and helping out. It runs smoothly because everyone listens. :) Great event and it was good to have some cool water. Always good to see the Quebec CQB crew making the road trip to come shoot with us.

The BBQ received the official RSO thumbs up of approval.

Great weather, great match, great effort by Andrew and Dave, and the ladies who put together that awesome BBQ lunch. The day went smoothly considering how many people were competing. Big thanks to Barney for his participation this season, without which a lot of matches would have not happened.

Seems the ARO relay shot out of character, well the others at least, but that was a lot of fun. I couldn't decide if not seeing what you just shot. was a good thing or a bad thing.
 
Thanks Andrew, Barney, Dave and all the Aro's and basically anybody that had even a little hand in making this season possible. You guys are awesome! Great match yesterday. It was amazing seeing all the people show up, seeing that many people let's me sleep easy at night knowing ORA CQB isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

Plus one for Barney and his help. Definitely shot below what I should have for the day. I think it came down to lack of time to focus and fine tune as the match started. Oh well adversity is a good teacher. Excellent work on your pistol shots Steve when you had you catch up.
 
What a fun day! Thank you Andrew, Dave and all the ARO's. Was nice seeing some familiar faces and meeting new people. Thanks Jim and Richard for your tips! Maybe they will help improve my shooting next time 😊

Yeah, that was the shooting on the move, my first rifle mag wouldn't pick up the first round, after 3 tries of re-seating it and as the whistle blew I started moving forward and finally chucked it to the ground in disgust. That left me with short one mag. My safety guy said "make it up with the pistol", so I threw out my thought of only shooting one mag and went for both. Out of 10 rounds to the head I scored 7. Got to love that adversity.

Andrew and team, thanks so much for the hard work and commitment you guys put in to putting on and running these events. Another great championship. You guys rock. Despite the heat, there were smiles on everyones faces. The BBQ was, again, an amazing feast.
Can't wait until next year.
 
A Big Thanks to Andrew & Barney for making sure the 2017 Season happened.

It was a great and well run Championship match and a lot of fun, and it was pretty warm too!
