Hi guys.

I finally took the plunge and picked up an Uzkon TR100 AR style shotgun. Been ogling these types of shotguns at the lgs counter for the last year. Now NAS has them on for $500 and I couldn’t say no any longer!

Question though:

I live in the great dictatorship of Ontario, where no matter what is being hunted, the shotgun has to be limited to 3 rounds. The TR100 comes with three 5 round mags... which is awesome, but I’d like to hunt with it. So I’m wondering what you folks are doing out there to mitigate that?

I’m sure I could rivet one of them easily enough to restrict it to 2+1, but I’d rather it be removable - Much like the plug in a pump is.

So any McGyvers out there? What’s your solution of choice? Uzkon, Derya, Typhoon, etc.

My Derya came with a 5 round and a 2 round mag. Maybe try to find a 2 round mag?

Yeah, they’re available.. But as you can imagine, the guy who buys the $499 semi shotgun, is the same guy who’s not too keen to pay $60 for a neutered mag...

Appreciate the advice though.

Simple fix, remove the mag base plate and install a 3" long piece of wood dowel. Reinstall the base and bingo 2 round mag. Super easy

That’s more along the lines of what I was hoping to do... no unnecessary holes in the mags. But I had heard that the Uzkon mags had a baseplate that couldn’t be removed without the aid of a Dremel... not sure if that’s forum lore or not, and frankly, I’m clearly jumping the gun by asking these questions before I even have the gun in hand. Patience grasshopper!

Do you have a Br99/tr100? Are the base plates easily removed?

^^I second this

Depress the button in the mag base and slide the base off, be cautious there is a spring inside just waiting to jump out.

Now that it’s arrived, I see what you mean. Super easy. Thanks for the advice fellas.

Oh, and for the record, this is the most badass shotgun I’ve over owned. As soon as I opened the case, I heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth from every fudd within a hundred miles!

Post a picture, Id love to see it.

Giggity.

Dunno...

I’ll let you know when I get a chance to hit the range. I also got a barrel extension and chokes for when I need to reign in the badassery a tad.

Pretty sweet getup for $499 eh? Thank you NAS!! :)
bought one of these last year after NAS described it "comes with chokes " Nas told me keep it , i will give you chokes when it arrive after more than a year, no choke , I never bought anything there after this..

While there was indeed some misleading info on their website, they took good care of me after the fact, and promptly addressed the website. Their customer service has been top notch. I won’t hesitate to be a repeat customer.

My $0.02
