Sooooo, CQBm7 is coming up on Saturday and I'm blowing the whistle this time out. Who's pumped and who's bringing something new or interesting in the way of kit? We've had a whole season of tinkering behind us, lots of time to find what did and didn't work, so let's hear it. :)

In my case I discovered that my new pistol sits a bit higher than the old one, so I had to buy a drop down to get it to clear my vest on the draw. I also swapped out 2x2 magazine soft pouches for 4x fast mags. Love 'em. No more fighting with magazines to get the damned things out. They stick out more than the soft pouches, I've got them on my left side and I lay more on the right side when I'm shooting prone so it works for me.

Huh, neat looking pistol. I'll be interested to see how it shoots for you. Why a Canik? And if there's one thing you need, Ganderite, it's another pistol. :p

I have found that shooting bullseys on the range and shooting under the stress of time and match conditions are two entirely different things. And the "accurate" pistol, with the best trigger may not work well in CQB, IDPA, etc.

I tried the Canik at 25 yards, shooting rapid fire. It out performed my other pistols. So now I am going to try it in the match and try to give Boltgun a run for the money.

Diamond duck and I along with the young lad will be at Petawawa doing Tactical Teachers Precision Rifle weekend thing so will miss this. Good shooting to all of you.

Definitely was a good match. Thanks to Dave for running the whistle and Greg and Tony for keeping us in line. Looking to see more people out for last match of the year. Chuck and I are the Aros.

Great shoot in perfect weather.

I discovered that if the primer is in up-side down, it won't fire.

Also discovered that I should not examine my practice targets by looking at them from the top. I noted the group was right, so aimed left in the match. As a result, I had a loonie sized group in the 4 ring. Doh!

Thanks to Dave and the volunteer ROs. Match was smooth and we were done at 12:15.
