Awesome. As fenceline suggested, would it be possible for you to order the necessary parts and assemble everything domestically? If you could get a trunnion and trigger group kit, maybe you could even have someone produce receivers locally, then you just have to order the uncontrolled NOS parts from China and assemble everything here, like some companies are doing with Vz58 variants.

In either case, thanks for looking into this. These would sell like Krispy Kreme donuts right after they come out of the oven, lol! (you'd have a hard time keeping any in stock)

:d

Would suggest avoiding trunnions. I was suggesting sell the parts kits and the buyer can do it themselves. Just the barrel, sight, gas block, bipod and carry handle will do.

Not sure if any of that would require any professional gunsmithing though.

The complete rifles should be professionally assembled in Canada from foreign and domestic parts, methinks. Produce the controlled part here (receiver) and import the other parts, so that it limits BS mind changes or "prolonged inspections" at the border, not to even mention shipping delays due to the factory having other priorities. :p

I'd be willing to bet the Chinese have a mountain of NOS parts (barrels, stocks, bolt and trigger groups, etc) for these just lying around in old warehouses. Our Canadian-spec semi auto receiver is why the factory took a bunch of years to finally produce these things. Why not just reproduce the receiver here under the same FRT specs? (if the specs are the same, it should benefit from the same status)

They don't make T81 LMG parts outside of T81 LMG production runs unfortunately

If the 21st of March 2016 was the first day, then I ordered the first day too, but I seem to remember the the preorder opening the night before, sleeping on it, and waking up thinking, "yup, I want it".
