The R&D already done for the long barrel, parts already produced. Should M+M just scrap them according to you?

Considering it is hard enough to find a 16" new M10 on a gun store shelf in the USA so I can self import, sales seem to be keeping up with current production.......

It's not hard. I found 5 @ $1249 USD ......
Just dig a little deeper.

I'm not so sure there is any production occurring at this time.
Most I have found appear to be older stock.

It is , I'm sure they can be found cheaper .
I was merley pointing out to you that they are available if you really want to import a 16" restricted version via 3rd party.

Honestly I'm pretty tired of this whole M+M fiasco and think I will just step on back our of it all.
It will be what it will be .....

They aren't selling in the US, read the non-paid advertising comments, M&M sold lots of Romanian AKM's for $500 though, they were popular.
The original M10x elite was a bit of a joke...weighed in at 8.5lbs, came with garbage Chinese made sights, had a 3 slot bottom rail that wouldn't fit any forward hand grips because the mag was in the way, lots of cast and MIM parts, all for a cheap $1550 MSRP which the paid reviewer even says is too high and should be around $1200 street price.
Actually, the more I look at how poorly some of the parts are built, and how stupid some of the design ideas were like 40 cent Chinese BUIS with $1500 rifle, that forward grip attachment that is useless with 30 round mags, the easier it is to see what a fraud M&M is as the "brains" behind the design and marketing. The guy is a ####ing idiot lol.

That was a pretty stellar review...

The 8.5lbs was actually noted as making it shoot nicer tgan an AK, newer versions are lighter too. The crappy iron sights were dropped as was the short bottom rail. Best trigger the reviewer has seen on an AK and very accurate and reliable...

I read the comments you mentioned:

The Zhukov version is apparently more than a pound lighter – looking forward to getting a T&E sample to review. Frankly, the weight of the M10x Elite is not that bad – after all, an Uzi weighs almost 8 pounds and a typical Garand is 10+. Its just that if you are thinking of this thing as an AK derivative, its noticeably heavier than a typical AK. As I said in the review, it reminds me of a Galil in terms of the weight / feel.

I was one of the first buyers of the M10X Elite when it first came out last year. I had absolutely zero problems with it and it shot like a dream. I couldn’t have been more happy and my local gun shop was able to get me one for around $1350 to boot! But the best part of purchasing this rifle was the free upgrade offer they made to all M10X owners who had purchased this rifle before March 1st 2016.

I have an M10x and it is as reliable as my Arsenal 107. The action feels much smoother and I’m getting better groupings with my M10X. The guys from M+M have a service second to none in the industry. I’m more then happy to support a company that guarantees 100% US manufacture and are leading innovation. The quality of the rifle is superb and I’m sure these rifles will soon become mainstream.

I did find this guy, only bad comment by someone who owns one:

I had a M10X Elite and it had a very bad problem ejecting rounds…every other round…i used at least 4 types of ammo before i sent it for repair and it was sent back to me with the same problem! Not worth the price!

The point went over your head obviously. The rifle was released like that, by idiot M&M. That makes him an imbecile, not a genius. That's usually the problem with idiots, they don't know they are idiots.

You honestly think every rifle other than this one does not have ones that need to be warrantied? You're bias is too strong here, meaning you missed my point that even when there is a rifle that has an issue... M+M was on top of it and had it fixed.

The trigger was praised by more than one reviewer too.

I do believe that if there are warranty issues it would not be on M+M. I have not had to go through North Sylva... and they do not seem all that great from what people are saying. I would imagine if North Sylva dinked around M+M could always be contacted and maybe that would sour their relationship with North Sylva... who knows. My point was that counter to what some have speculated, it does seem M+M has decent customer service... for now.
