Tried my Tikka Battue this year.....two deer down! One at 60m and one at 12m. She's a .308 with a Trijicon 1-4x Accupoint on a Masi QD mount.

battue is awesome, where did you get the extended magazine ? how many rounds does it contain ?
I slapped a 3-9x on mine and it shoots very well. I hope some day it can help me to bring meat to the table.

Love my T3X battue with Leica ER 2-10x42, light and super accurate. Fantastic combiation for anything from thick bush to open fields. It didn't get me any deer yet but that's my fault :)

Picked up this 35 Remington last year but haven't used it yet,.. I just got it set up this past few weeks with a same time period, (early 80s), 1x4 Redfield scope,.. a set of dies,.. also lucked out and found 3 boxes of Remington Corelokt ammo,.. around these parts 35rem ammo of any brand is almost non existent, especially the Corelokt,.. when you do see it they usually want around $65 per box,.. I got these for $47 per box,.... so anyway this will be one of my " Thick Bush " guns come next season..
