I just know someone is going to pipe up about how their SKS can do 2" groups all day long and you got ripped off buying your 81, you should have bought another SKS or 3 instead

I own 4 sks's. I pulled a random one out and went to the range. I could of done better but we have a monster storm coming and I wanted to get home before I get caught in it.
I took mine out to BRRC in burlington and put 120 rounds with zero cleaning. Just opened the bag and left for the range. Patterned well but slightly to the left. Sks sight tool time.
3 mags rock and need to be held to properly chamber at times. 2 mags were not pinned very well at all.
For all the flak I've seen norinco/poly get over the years, I'm 3/3 new purchases with them. No complaints in my rifle at all. Functioned well and threw steel far. ATTACH]141318[/ATTACH]

proof or it never happened. 4" or better group at 50 yards = 8MOA from a pistol. Would love to see that caught on video. Most olympic shooters can't do that using highly customized precision pistols, eye magnifiers, and with low powered match grade .22LR ammo

For those that care, the 10 ring on a 50m olympic pistol target is 2" in diameter. The 9 ring is 4" in diameter. A perfect score is 600, to be on the Canadian olympic team, you have to shoot 560, which means you MIGHT maintain a 4" group. Maybe.

Jesus you guys talk like 50m is some serious distance... that's sling-shot, bow and arrow, rock, or horse shoe distance, not center fire rifle. 50m is a WASTE of centerfire rifle ammo, hell it's a waste of smooth bore muzzle balls FFS! I've shot better groups with a 12g and rifled slugs at 50m with single bead sights standing.
50m...you guys really need to practice shooting more lol.
And where is this 4moa group? The T81 group on the Figure 12 at 50m is what 6"...12moa?

That's the difference son, you don't know what you don't know, and when you see an average Joe shoot really well, then it gives you something to compare yourself to, and strive to be better. I'm the worst shooter I know out of the bunch I shoot with. There are a lot of guys out there that shoot 3-4" groups at 300m with irons routinely. I hope to get there some day...

Whatever dude, you know you got ripped off. You should have just bought a $225 BBQ paint mismatched Russian SKS refurb. Better rifle in every way according to internet wisdom.

Does it have dremel grinding on the bolt? I read they are all defective anyhow. My SKS goes bang every time and cost $800 less. Loser.

That ain't a pistol at 50M...
I shot a single 5 round group at 100m/110y on my first range trip out that measured about 4" going by the target grid squares, I did not pull out the ruler. It was under 5" for sure.
I know, pics or it didn't happen. And let me be the very first to say that a single 5 round group does not mean anything other than on that day and in that moment the stars aligned and I shot that group. I need to see if it is consistently repeatable and only time will bear that out. So for now my single 5 round group is just a fluke until I prove otherwise.
Not a challenge but if anybody in the lower mainland wants to come to the Abby range with me I can take up to 2 guests for $10 each, you pay. I feel comfortable making this offer, the CGN'rs I have met in person have been solid people 100% so far. If you want to shoot with me give me a PM.
I don't expect a flood of responses but preference will be given to any 81 owners, 858 or SKS in that order. Combinations thereof, and if you got all 3, will be pretty much assured of getting a spot lol.
