Show off your single shot 22s

Here is the Taiga-2. Almost identical to the Strela... Just a slightly shorter barrel, and in my case, the stock is different because my Strela has a rare prone stock.

You guys are such a bad influence! This thread made me realize how badly I need another single shot target .22 since I sold my last one... now I have what I hope is a nice Schultz and Larsen M70 coming in the mail from the nice folks (enablers) at Tradex!

Pics to come when I receive it this Tuesday. cou:

S&L's are shooter's...at least in my limited experience.
First time I shot mine was with CCI SV, off a short pistol bench rested on a bean bag in a seated position (indoors). The results @ 25yrds amazed me!
I'd shoot it more but the lighting at the range is terrible for extended focusing with dioptic sights.

My best 5rnd group with CCI SV....

Those old Schultz and Larsen M70 rifles (the bargain priced ones) can shoot. My first M70 (or M77, it's hard to tell which it is) on my first and only time with it on a cool November morning shot this at 57 yards.

Thought I would also show a pic of this rifle as it is not very common in this country. It is a Hungarian trainer made by Lampagyar (which was a lamp factory). A few years ago I communicated with a fellow who runs the Hungarian Kispuska Training Rifle site and he said the gun was made in the period from 1956 to 1959. By the serial number, he figured my gun is from 1956. This gun must have left Hungary right after it was made and spent its life in a closet as it is like new. The third pic shows a 15 year old carrying the same model of gun in the 1956 Hungarian uprising.
The last pic is of another very rare Lampagyar target rifle that I had but foolishly sold a few years ago. It had the spoon style bolt and a buttery smooth action. I never could find the right peep sight for it. Wish I still had the gun though.

I have a few single shots. Lots of fun.

Here are some Walthers.

The first one is a Walther Heavy barrel "running boar". They're fairly rare. I consider myself lucky to have found this one.
The second is a Walther KKJ-T in a custom thumbhole stock
Third is a KKJ-T in the factory stock. The forend on this stock was thinned down by a previous owner. That being said it is very nice shooting off hand. Also it included all of the apertures.

This one is an original first gen CM2. These are actually fairly rare. The later Ural rifles etc are more common.

I'm going to be "That guy". This isn't a single shot. It's mag fed, but I use a single shot adapter in the mag. The adapter is from a piece of old cutting board. Works great!! The rifle is a Kimber SVT. The first generation of SVT was a single shot. This is the second one which is mag fed.

I also have an Annie 54. Sorry I don't have any photos at this time.

HOLY RUNNING BOAR BATMAN! I'd like to see more if that one!

Some if your pics are not showing up.... The Gen1 and Gen2 Urals were made in tandem with the Gen 1, 2, and 3 CM2s.... The Urals are a bit bigger and have the heavy 3 lug bolts.... Same bolt as the Taiga, Strela and others as a matter of fact. The MTs-12 however is a dif animal having a 4 lug bolt.

I have... Gen1 and Gen2 CM2s, Gen2 Ural, Taiga-2, Strela-3, Mts-12, and MTs-70-1. The 70-1 is (from what I'm told) an experimental running bore gun from the design/development shop at Tula.

The photos should be working now. Sorry, after photobucket messed us all up it's been harder posting up photos.

Good to know about the CM1. That purchase was one of those that I have no regrets with. The trigger is excellent. It was also at an excellent price point. I seem to recall paying under $200 for it. The only thing that was a bit hard was figuring out the Russian markings on the sights!

The running boar. I will try and get some new photos up eventually. I still don't have it scoped yet. I really like Walther firearms and this one is special. The KKJ-T rifles are also very nice.

Some really great rimfires and photos on this thread!

Very nice.... I love my Vostok CM2 Gen1 and Gen2 rifles. Perfect 22s in my opinion. You are correct, the Gen1 with slightly dif shape stock, bakelite non-adjustable butt, and bow/arrow receiver roll stamp are very rare guns.

Never mind the messy workbench. lol

Left to right. MTs-70-1 Experimental Tula running boar, CM2 Gen1, Strela with rare prone stock.

Here is my CM2 Generation 2. I have the original handstop around here somewhere for it also. Really love these rifles as they a big but not too big, heavy but not too heavy, and extremely accurate. Im a bit of a russian match gun NUT!
