** Your NEA102 build **

WTF are you talking about. Havent you seen all the pictures posted of the horrible workmanship. I dont need to have one in my hands to pass judment on that. As far as the 102 is concerned they dont sell a stripped receiver set so I had no choice to buy a complete rifle. Ive owned NEA in the past and it was complete and utter crap. The only reason these are selling is due to the NR status.

I set my expectations low that way I wont be dissapointed when I get it. On the other hand if it shows up free of defects Ill be the first one to admit I was wrong. But from what ive been seeing so far the Gen 2s are a bit better than the Gen 1s. But the barrels still need more refining.

Ummmm except that you don’t own it yet. I guess what you meant to say is that you have no trouble speculating and upgrading based on how bad you think your rifle is going to be.

And the funniest of all is people paying their $2K (or whatever your IOP discount price was) and then tripping over themselves to talk about how chitty it is. And I don’t mean funny haha I mean funny peculiar. THAT is batsh!t weird! It’s like, “Hey everybody, look at me, I’m spending my money on a piece of crap! Wheeeeeeee!”

Haha...funny

I set my expectations low as well... The only surprises I get are thus positive :)

hahaha

Haven't gotten yours yet? I'm glad I ordered from CRAFM in Sep' and have it... I got very lucky I guess :)

When i change the barrel, the only thing left that are "NEA" are the upper and lower; as intended.

In other news, BCL 102 parts for sale: everything less upper/lower!

Ship in limited quantities...lol,

Still waiting on the gas block and muzzle brake that I ordered to show up... and the rifle of course :p

Nice sling :)

What style of bcg is that? The AR10 ones dont work so I'm assuming brownells makes an AR102 bcg? thats odd lol

That brownells BCG works fine, a few people are using it allready. Unlike the NEA one the bolt head does not drop free and chew gas rings...lol...

funny how? funny like a clown? funny how? How is he funny? Does he amuse us? Its an nea build thread, people are building their rifles with other parts. Thats the whole purpose of the thread.

Oh cool, didn't know AR10 bcgs work. So much mixed info going around......

Indeed.. to sum up:

Handguard that fits: SLR Helix "dpms high/ar10 barrel nut"
BCG : Brownells' 308 fits (the one that's 139.99$ - WAAAAY better finish than the stock NEA BCG)
Trigger: Geiselle SSE fits
Grip: Hogue fits (ive heard that some other brands are slightly too tight)
Stock: Magpul CTR fits
Muzzle device: whatever the standard for .30 cal thread is (i forget)

Has anyone confirmed the brownells bolt to work in the gen 2? Charging handles used to work now they don't so it'd be nice to confirm these still do work in the current shipping batch.

By the sounds of most of the posts here, it seems as though a bunch of people have ended up with a $1700.00 non restricted stripped upper and lower. Why can't they just get it right the first time even if it were to take a bit longer?

NEA has never gotten anything right...lol...

Yes this is the most expensive stripped receiver set in history. But it still cheaper than any other real AR10 on the market.

Yeah probably, I'm changing almost everything on mine but I want to see if the stock barrel is any good, especially after seeing a video on youtube of some guys making 750ish meter shots with it, not sure how big the target was, I saw the vid last week.

Also what stocks are you guys putting on your guns? anyone going magpul PRS or do you think it will weigh too much? I was thinking of getting the magpul 7 position buffer tube with a CTR stock and QD endplate but then I started thinking about the PRS. It weight more, but that weight is at the back of the rifle. Maybe the balance will be nicer that way? Or just try to go as light as possible? Not sure how well cheekweld will be with CTR.

So the brownells bcg is compatible. Good to know. Anyone know of fixed stock options that work? I understand it has an aar-10 buffer tube? Would the magpul fixed stocks work?

They haven't had enough time? Sounds like guys will still be waiting into February. What a joke.
