A thread dedicated to the Repair and Troubleshooting of the MG34 build like crap by TNW !!! And imported by an equally worthless Canadian distributor that left many of us with unsafe MG's !!!

So if your MG34 has issues this is the place to ask your questions

If you get that tripod I think you can get the proper mounting piece from eBay. It should be the curved piece like that on the bipod that attaches to the rear of the barrel shroud except it will have 2 bolts that hold it to the cradle on the tripod
Kinda hard to explain but hope you know what I mean
I can text you pictures of my tripod if it helps just let me know

The tripod should come with the cradle but with the mount for the mg42
I've seen the part he needs on e bay for like 50 or 60 bucks
Search CJ750 MG34 adapter BMW R75/MG34/R71/KS750
It should come up when you search that

Well its done I got the m42 Tripod on ebay for 290US and the mount from these guys http://www.oldtimergarage.eu/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2698

Now im trying to source https://www.knsprecisioninc.com/product/mg42-tripod-to-picatinny-rail-adapter/ so I can use my other rifles with the tripod.

Haha that looks awesome! I put a bid in for a AA tripod. Waiting hopefully that the seller takes me up on it. Actually pretty awesome that you can make it multifunctional with that adaptor..

Looking at the OP pic it seems he needs more then just the rear cast part, the original B&W shows the different fitting that is readily available as repro or spend crazy money for original.

here is an easy was to make a mount with a few pieces of metal if you just order the yoke mount, or whatever its called.

Maybe, the lafette tripod I have has the aa pole mount with it and that curved piece whatever its called bolts right up to it once you remove the mg42 mount
I have a proper mg34 aa tripod as well but had to get that one from Germany
Looks like Dilligaf has everything sorted,at least he got a good deal on his tripod I couldn't find anyone to ship one up here from the US
