I have been doing some reading seen that the new Gen 5 G17s are mismatched and let thru quality control without proper inspection....as you may have noticed that the slide is beveled bit the frame is not.....these should of never left the factory like this in my opinion....what is your guys take on this? Will you still buy knowing this or wait for a matching one? top picture frame/slide beveling correct at muzzle..bottom incorrect

Looks like they are assembling from previous parts on the line I would wait

That's my thought exactly.....also I believe in the future this will command a lower resale value.....and some.of the dealers who are brining these In got a sweet deal on them....hence the very attractive discounts they are offering.....I'd pay a little more and wait myself

The ones being manufactured now will also have a bevelled frame. It was a small cosmetic oversight by Glock, no big deal.

shoots better then gen4 or gen3 ... like it much more then previous models .
And you can't mismatched or "assembling from previous parts on the line" . Gen.5 , it is completely different then gen.4 .... magwell , ambi slide stop...
As for quality control my G17 is perfect, much better then gen.4 (talking about looks).
"the slide is beveled bit the frame is not.....these should of never left the factory like this in my opinion...." - it's so small , you can hardly feel it , maybe 1/2 mm ,
you only noticed because somebody point it out .
I only shot 200 rds. (no problem) and if its going to be as reliable as previous models it's a winner ( in my opinion ) :)

M&P2.0... just saying. Glock hasn't been competitive with features or pricing in years.

That's a nice set up and I appreciate your input.....looks wicked with the surefire.....what kinda sights you got on yours? And how do you like them?

That's why smith has attempted to copy the design what... 3 times now? The m&p lost out horribly to Glock in the FBI trials and quite frankly has been behind since day one..

How do you like the new nDLC finish? I am not a fan of the Gen 4 chalkboard grey finish so i hope nDLC is an improvement.
