I wonder is that an actual photograph...? or is someone really good w/ photoshop etc....;)
I was skeptical at first too, Ive seen 6 at one time myself though. A bit of diggings suggests its real, just winter herding plus the unharvested crops.

Another large herd, at least 9

One time back in the 1980's when Ontario had Moose my buddy and I were heading out ice fishing about 6:00AM we came across a herd of yarded up Moose west of Thunder Bay. At first we thought some farmer's cows had gotten loose but as we drove closer we soon realized that they were Moose. It was dark and hard to tell how many there were but it sure seemed like they were everywhere when we drove by real slow.

Back in the younger years I was choppered into Tumbler Ridge to do some plumbing repairs
to the man camp.
Flying out of Prince George during the snow on the ground time we saw moose after moose
after mooses.
At first I thought they were cattle.
My.............how times have changed.

That area used to have a lot of moose, I'd see them all the time around Ignace to Savant Lake, not so much anymore.

It's unfortunate that by offering the locality of this photo may very well sign the death warrant for those animals...even at this "out of season" for most of us time. A herd of moose that size in that area wont be that hard to find this time of year.
