I have several (50 +) EMPTY CCI cases with the plastic retainer and sliding lid.
I have noticed people selling these on eBay.

What is the main use of these cases other than holding BULK rounds?

If I were to sell these, are there many folks here interested?

THX

Take out the tray and remove the stickers on a clean solid one and use them to store bore brushes etc... also can store you summer round sets in each calibre in a stacking case.

Mostly there of little use after you start finding purposes for a few.

I want to but a couple boxes of Stingers so I can get myself a couple of them. I have an old Dominion one, I believe, that I re-stock and keep with me. I also covered it with camo tape.

The reason I want a few is to store some bulk rounds in. I like the ability to dump 1, 5, or 10 rounds at a time rather than count.

One neat thing is to put "sorted" ammunition into those boxes; when I used to size rimfire bullets (enlarge the hollow points, flatten-down the round-nose profile, etc.) I would keep each cartridge-type in its own area of the ammunition box.

My Walther P22 has lots little bits floating around, front sights Allen keys, extra back straps, and a security key which locks the entire action. All these fit nice in CCI case. I've used these little cases for small storage since I was a little kid and got a hold of my first box of imperials. I still have some of those.

This was what I used them for for years. Now I use several of the Marble's Catch-22...

I like to bring them to the range with my crappy bulk ammo in them.
You know sort of like pouring the cheap stuff into a good booze bottle ;)
Gotta keep up apperances!
Now i just use the little ziggys salad containers from super store.

Just a word to the wise and I don't want to sound paranoid . but id you sell those on Kijiji then your going to have someone you don't know come to your house to buy empty 22 ammunition boxes form you . NO ?? then some moron who you don't know now knows you own guns . is the couple of dollars your going to get out of them worth letting the cat out of the bag to a stranger . next question they are going to ask you is do you have any guns for sale . think about it . your door might get kicked in when your not home . just my opinion.

I use them exactly like that to keep a count, I buy CCI Standard in bulk and the cheap cardboard boxes don't hold up, so I do a transfer 100 at a time and keep a couple of boxes in my range bag

haha .. yep salad containers for me too. Only problem is when I go to the indoor range and the RO does a check to see the ammo's not magnetic she laughs and says "these are soooo cute".
