Sellers Market for the CZ858!

If you buy a CZ 858 to get onto the Prohib license, and it doesn't go your way and turns out they will just make you all turn them in with no compensation, you can always send your gun to Kodiak Defense where they will remove your prohibited receiver and replace it with their Canadian made non-restricted receiver.

If you can send the stripped receiver with barrel, have them install the barrel on their receiver and ship it back to you would be the most cost effective way.
 
They don’t care about the gun itself it’s the prestige ��of having a prohib licence.

On a more serious note tho I doubt the Swiss arms and cz858 will be the last of the new prohibs.

I'm in the middle of reading Bill C-71 and I'm not sure if I'm understanding the bill here but is states that anyone who owns at least one or more CZ 858 Tactical 2-P, 2-V, 4-P, or 4-V after the date of June 30th 2018 are eligible for grandfathered licensing of those firearms. I'm also on the part about Prohib class 12.9 and they state

Exception for prohibited firearms other than prohibited handguns

(2) Despite subsection (1), an individual must not be authorized to transport a prohibited firearm — other than a handgun referred to in subsection 12(6.#1) or a prohibited firearm referred to in subsection 12(9) — between specified places except for the purposes referred to in paragraph (1)#(b).

I would be weary of this. I don't trust them one bit. They may have this as a trap for CZ 858 and Swiss Arms owners. They think they will get a prohib license and they will still be able to use the gun but they may take away all authorizations to transport for 12.9 in the future. Now they have almost all the CZ 858 and Swiss Arms registered and in prison at the owners home.

I seriously hope that every gun owner that voted for the Liberals s@#$s their pants in public and its super embarrassing.

I never said you could buy other prohibs! Only meant you would get the new class prohib license for 858's and Swiss Arms and still be able possess them! (LOL for now anyway). I am very well aware they in reality are giving us sweet #### all. Kinda why I said "I don't see the point myself but to each their own" FYI I have been collecting for over 37 years, so ya I seen a bit. And I do see a bit in this bill to be wary of.

What the hell is up with this part of the bill?

Authorization to transfer non-restricted firearms

23 (1) A person may transfer a non-restricted firearm if, at the time of the transfer,
(a) the transferee holds a licence authorizing the transferee to acquire and possess a non-restricted firearm;

(b) the Registrar has, at the transferor’s request, issued a reference number for the transfer and provided it to the transferor; and
(c) the reference number is still valid.

They're going to make us register our transfers of non-restricted firearms? I don't understand. So in order to sell a non-restricted firearm, in order for it to be a legal transfer, we will be required to call in a transfer and get a reference number for it? What do you guys make of this?
