Hi.

I'm checking for 5.56 pistol mags (For the sweet legal 10 rounds capacity), however i can only find those tiny sizes. I was wondering if it was possible to have those in 20 or 30 rounds size while keeping the 10 round "pistol" capacity. Because a tiny 10 round is a bit ugly and handling a full size mag is easier.

So far my searches were unsuccessfuls. Can you find larger sizes or you have to stick it to the small 10 rounders?

Yeah, that could be a good idea if i can't find the full size. Any recommendations for couplers?

I will have a few for sale used in the coming days if you want to contact me. You can also try True North Arms. Also, you can get body extensions for the pistol mags but you cannot get a 30 round mag, call it a pistol mag and pin it to ten.

I figured. I'l probably use couplers to stick two 10 rounders together and get a similar shape as a 30 round one. I see type 1 and type 2 magwedge, they seem to differentiate in the way they are coupled together. I guess it depend on the brand of 10 rounders i use? I'm eyeballing the C products one.

The full size 10 round mags you're thinking about are considered prohibited devices. Best bet is to buy the standard small sized pistol mags and buy extensions.

The C-Products mags use the Type 2A MagWedge.

I run a few coupled with MagWedges and the rest with GSDesign extensions to approx 30 round length....

On the left 2 x C-Products RRA LAR Mags with MagWedge 2A coupler. Middle is C-Products RRA LAR Mag with GSDesign extension (30 rd). Right is Magpul Gen 3 PMag 5/30

No they are not. RCMPs interpretation isn't law.

Best thing is to buy 2 10 round mags and couple them together

This is a great idea if you only shoot sitting down at the range. Once You start training you notice that coupled mags are only good to give a horrible training scars. This is why i got rid of all my coupled mags and got full length Pistol mags.

So true. Was crawling prone and dragged the open end of a coupled mag through the dirt and crap. Was picking pine needles out and said "!uck it" , and just stripped all the rounds out.

I picked up a few of the GS Design extensions for my pistol mags; definitely not a fan of coupling so this was perfect.

I think i will try both. Couplers for target and plinking and mag body extenders for more serious stuff, like blackgun.
