That really depends on the user. Some really like the Govt model best, some like the commander best. Some even like the feel of the government over the commander, but shoot tighter groups with the commander. Try em both!vancityguy said:is the regular model better than the commander?

NAA said:Of course, not to mention, the Norc represents a real good value for the money for their 1911 series. And especially, the model NP-29 which is the single stack 1911 in 9mm...![]()
vancityguy said:eventually over time i'd like a .45 & a 9mm but for a first purchase what is recommended between those 3 guns the gov't .45 / com .45 / np-29 9mm?
Trigun said:NP 29 seems to be a very good choice, and you can also start reload your ammo. I personal like a full size gun better. Marstar also has NP 28 in two tone finish which looks very hot.

vancityguy said:and whats the big diff between the np29/np28?
Trigun said:NP 28 is double stack, Np 29 is single stack and the grip is more slim.

RDevigne said:Its been quite a long time now hasn't it. I need to buy myself another NP-29.!!!
vancityguy said:did you get your commander from marstar or armco?
ian_in_vic said:neither, I bought it from a local shop (gotta keep them in business, and yes I paid more, and it was still worth it) If I didn't have a local dealer to support, I'd buy from Armco because he takes away a lot of the cost that you'll spend later on various "improvements"
