With the WK180 set to start getting into our hands any day now, I was wondering how everyone was setting theirs up.

For myself, I'm going to replace the buttstock with a magpul CTR, pistol grip will be MOE, I might replace the handguard with a generic 13.5" or 15" Mlock one depending if I like the production one or not. If I go that route I'll replace the piston tube plug with a custom made one I can reach without modifying the handguard.

Optics will be a Vortex StrikeEagle 1-6 in a cantilever QD mount and folding iron sights

Accessories will be a magpul vertical grip and a bipod on a QD mount.

Hopefully the accuracy of these is good enough at 1.5-2moa and it'll make a great rig for sport and/or hunting

I'm going to wait and see how it shoots out of the box first, then see what pics get posted of others mods before I spend any money on it.

I've got a Nikon P223 scope around here somewhere I'll throw on it.

I have an ALG trigger I want to try out so I will install that. Otherwise I plan to leave it stock for the time being. Optics will be a Aimpoint T2 or a Leupold AR 1.25-4.

I am going to shoot mine the way it is - properly break in the barrel before I go pew, pew, pew, pew and pew
Not planning on changing anything on it - I do have a scope somewhere that I am going to use
Do plan on buying 1k rounds though
Then......wait for it........reload

I'm not sure you'll be able to swap out the handguard, I'm not 100% sure how the WC attaches theirs but the RWA version is not compatible with AR handguards and neither is the original AR-180B2.
These are not AR-15's so don't get too carried away buying parts until you actually have it in your hands and can see what will fit and what won't.

I know the buttstock and grip (without beavertail) are interchangeable and I believe Wolverine did say most handguards will fit as long as they clear the piston. It'll mostly depend on how much I like the production handguard and how effective it is. I still have a few months to wait anyways so its mostly wishful thinking at his point

Well, I hope the WC180 is compatible with regular AR handguards. It would be a selling feature that the RWA/IRG version is lacking.

Keep your expectations realistic though, I doubt very much that anyone will be seeing sub MOA groups from these regardless of what barrel they install. I hope I'm wrong but to expect 1 MOA or better from a $1000 rifle that was built by a company that as far I know is primarily known for making stocks/chassis for SKS rifles I wouldn't expect extreme precision. These will be awesome budget rifles for bashing around with and having a lot of fun.

I have a set of irons and an RRA 2-stage trigger sitting in the parts bin. That's about it.

I don't think I'll bother with a scope.

I've a few spam cans of norc 5.56 to crack. I don't know that I'll be working up any sort of load for this one - it'll end up getting the stuff that I load for my better rifle once the surplus is gone.

Wolverine was reporting between 1 and 2 moa with the prototype with decent ammo so as long as the production barrel can maintain that I'll be more than happy. Not to mention that as it takes AR barrels your accuracy will likely only be limited by your wallet and the design of a piston gun. Time will tell I suppose

Ya, I've heard a lot of claims on accuracy from many retailers prior to product release and most have turned out to be nothing more than claims/wishful thinking. I'll be very surprised if many people see better than 2moa from these rifles.
I hope I'm wrong though, it sure would be nice to have a $1000 NR semi that can consistently shoot 2 moa or better.
I'm skeptical though since a quality barrel is $300+ (I just bought a high quality AR barrel and it cost me $400) and at $1000 total I don't see much chance this has more than a $150-$200 barrel. It may be possible to fluke out the odd good group but it won't be consistently tight as it gets hot.

Planning to use the spare parts I have on hand.... swap the buttstock out for an Ace ARFX (just hope the LOP won't be too long), maybe an ergo grip to replace the basic plastic one, add front and rear MBUS and a TRS25 on a QD riser and that's about it.

I'm sure mine will be decorated with all the pairs of panties chicks will throw at me once they see me with my new WK180.

I'm going to throw some magpul stuff on mine, CTR for the stock. Did they ever say whether it is mil spec or commercial tube? Some MBUS and I have an AR 223 bushnell 4.5-14 waiting to go on it. If the scope makes things too heavy there's another trs 25 waiting in a box.

I got one of the 10.5" PSA AR's from IRG and stuck a trs 25 on it and I quite like it!

You guy's can keep the granny panties!
